This is a 1971 chevy malibu chevelle convertible.
I bought this car when I was in high school
It had no engine, transmission, or rear end.
The top was in fair shape, except the back window was gone,
so I replaced it. I aslo installed a 425 hp 396, a th400,
and a 3.36:1 posi rear end. It is not original, but hey, it works for me!
I may have a line on where the original turbofire 350 is,
If I can get ahold of it, I will go all original when I restore it.
The car was originally purchased from the chevy dealer in my home town.
Then it ended up in San Diego, CA. My cousin had it there while he
in the service. When he came home, it sat in my dad's shed for about
three years. It had a small block 400 in it then. That was sold, as
the tranny while it was there. The pinion had broke due to some carelessness
of the people removing the engine and tranny, so that is what happend to the rear end
