"Welcome to the Purple 71 'Cuda convertible Page"

Here is a picture of my Purple 71 Cuda Convertible powered by the Magnum V10

This car was a 318 Plum Crazy Purple car from Wisconsin. It had rusted so badly that the car dropped on the ground when the doors were opened. I purchased it in 1997 in many pieces and rebuilt the car during winter of 1998 by using a solid donar car. I grafted the necessary sheet metal to the convertible, (much sheet metal), installed frame connectors, installed a 1994 Ram V10 engine and transmision complete with wiring harness and computer, (the computer and wires are from a 1996), replaced doors and quarters, adapted fuel pumps for the injectors, 93 Ram diesel radiator, new white interior and white top, luggage rack (wasn't originally installed), 15" wheels and Radial T/A tires, and spent about 3 weeks getting the 94 engine to talk to the 96 computer.
The stripes are for a 70, I liked the 70 look better than white billboards on this color combination. The V10 letters in the stripes were made by a friend, Randy Boone. Drove the car about 2000 miles this summer, took it to Carlisle, the Nationals, St Ignas MI, and many other smaller shows.
