"Welcome to the Page devoted to the latest car in my garage, a 1955 New Yorker Delux
Thie one was purchased off Ebay, I went to Salem NJ to pick it up. A Nebraska car that had apparently been used up till about 6 years ago as a daily driver in that area.
I am restoring this New-Yorker to look mostly original but with fresh paint (White with Antique Rose roof and stripe)and a touch of retro ride. It has a new Hemi engine(5.7), 518 style overdrive trans, front suspension from a 92 Caprice police car, a 1977 mark V 9" rear, 4 wheel disk brakes, and front seats from a 99 Ram Truck, with consol and shoulder harnesses.
It has an AC unit mounted in the rear seat area roof, out of the rear of a Durango.
The car has a variable wiper motor from a late model mini van, it will also get an air ride suspension at some point in the future.
Alot of people don't know this, the New-Yorker Deluxe was one of the worlds fastest 4 door cars, and the C300 (331 HEMI coupe) was Americas fastest car.
The car was designed by Virgil Exner who designed alot of famous objects of desire including some Lincolns.."

The car has now been sandblasted.
This is the dash, painted, but not completely assembled yet. The White is 99 dodge Truck white, the Brown is 2008 Mazda Antique Rose color
Most of the painting has been done, engine is in and does run, front seats are mounted. Gas tank and fuel system is done, radiator is in, coolant PS fluid, and trans fluids are all in.
Ford 9" rear end is installed after much modifying, disk brakes all the way around.
Windows are in, still woking on the AC lines and much detail stuff.
