Saturdays & Sundays at
High Beech, Epping Forest
I've never been to the High Beech, I'd heard about it alot, but never bothered to head in that direction (The Peak District & Mid/North Wales is my biking territory) Simon Oliver posted this to me
"With easy access from the M25 J26, the High Beach Car Park and it's single tea hut, hosts upto 100 bikes during the summer months. Regulars talk over old
Brit Iron, while a constant stream of modern bikes stops off throughout the weekend. This traditional meeting place has continued long after the
speedway site that started the tradition has disappeared. During the winter months a few straglers and die hards stop in for tea on the better
Winter Sundays.
As I said earlier it's a bit out of my area this one so if you do go to this meet, take a camera and post the results to[email protected] and let us know what you think.
The directions I was given were - From M25 J26 head in the direction of Epping and Woodford. At the roundabout on the Epping Woodford road, head towards Woodford, and turn
right at the next roundabout by the Robin Hood Pub. The Car Park and Tea hut are on the left 200 yeards into Epping Forest.
