Eddy Wins Again at Jackson

Rookie Jason Eddy made it three wins on the season in an Ohio Valley Dwarf Car Association/Ohio Caverns Touring Series event at Jackson Speedway. Eddy had to contend with strong runs by cousins Greg Watson and Mark Bernard to take the win. Watson held off Bernard for second with Rick Brown, in his first race since a hard crash at Lima, coming home fourth and Bill Hostetler of West Liberty rounding out the top 5. Also in the top 10 were defending OVDCA champion Wayne Fitzpatrick, Max Evans, Mike Weisberg coming home 8th in only his second race of �99, Don Meek and Nelson Glick, filling in for his son Jason.
The evening�s three heats produced victories for Eddy, Tracy Fritter and Ed Vallette. In heat number one Eddy held off the challenges of Brown, Gordon Wallace and Fitzpatrick to pick up heat win number four of 1999. Fritter captured the second heat, as he beat Bernard, Buddy McBride and Glick across the finish line. Vallette, in his first appearance of the season, took the checker in heat number three. The Columbus driver was followed by Weisberg, Watson and Randy Tripplett.
Another win by Eddy keeps him in the lead in the OVDCA point standings. Fitzpatrick remains in second place followed by Watson who moved past Hostetler on the strength on his second place finish. Evans continues to hold 5th position followed by Brown and Bernard in a tie for 6th, Fritter, Tripplett and Keith Bailey.
