August 15 - Jason Glick of Orient, Ohio was feature winner at Shady Bowl Speedway Saturday night, in his first career Ohio Valley Dwarf Car Association feature victory. Just two weeks earlier Glick was judged to come up just inches short in a photo finish at Shady Bowl, but bounced back with a decisive victory. Glick drives a Pro-Chassis sedan sponsored by Paula's Pizza, crewed by his father Nelson.

Glick also was victorious in heat one, working his way from the back of the pack utilizing the outside line. Shawn Stevens held the early lead, giving way to Wayne Fitzpatrick on lap two. Glick found his way past Fitzpatrick on lap seven of the eight-lap race, with Fitzpatrick holding off Stevens for second, while Mike Weisberg was fourth, and Ike Carter finished fifth.

Heat two featured a strong performance by Spence Stearns, who led flag to flag. Jeff Staggers worked his way from sixth to second at the finish, while Max Evans also had an impressive run finishing third, holding off Staggers until the white flag lap. Greg Watson was fourth, followed by Keith Bailey in fifth.

Staggers and Fitzpatrick drew the front row starting spots and looked like the cars to beat, but Glick had a great start from the inside of row two, and came out at the front of the pack at the end of lap one. Staggers ran second, followed by Fitzpatrick , Stevens, Weisberg, Stearns and Watson. Watson moved past Stearns on lap three as the leader's positions remained unchanged. The standings changed dramatically on lap seven however, as the leaders entered lapped traffic. Glick had cleared the three cars, but Staggers was not so fortunate, as he and Bill McDonough made contact and hooked up together on the backstretch. Weisberg attempted to go high, but caught the right rear wheel of Staggers, spinning Weisberg into the wall. Fitzpatrick tried the inside, but made contact with another lapped car and went into the inside barrier. None of the drivers were injured, but damage to the cars was heavy.

After the debris was cleared, Staggers, Weisberg, and Fitzpatrick were in the pits, and Glick remained in the number one spot, followed by Stevens, Watson, Stearns, Evans and Carter. The running positions remained unchanged until lap fifteen when the engine in the Stearns car expired, leaving a long trail of oil on the backstretch. The remaining five laps were completed without caution, with Glick pulling out to an advantage over Stevens, while Evans closely pursued Watson for the third spot. Ike Carter rounded out the top five.
