[RG] What's the deal? Why does everyone say the Countach is unreliable? It is as reliable as any other sports car. The Miura, espada, and Jarama had more problems than the Countach.
The only real problem that I have found on a Countach is the balance tube for the fuel tanks. It loops around the transmision tunnel and is rubber. After a while this rubber hose will weep fuel. You wont see a puddle under the car even if it has been sitting for a while but you will get a strong oder of gas. Oh yea also the oil cooler lines. They go from the back to the front of the car either through the passenger side compartment or under the door sill. These lines will leak and will leak hard.If you can spot oil coming out of the front rockers by the front opening of the door(undernieth here) your line is leaking.
But that's all the major stuff. These can easily be fixed even if you don't know about cars. Of course we all know the brakes were never perfect and that the engine would run hot a lot but of course it would, it's in the back!
All in all the Countach is a reliable car. Just take care of it and take it to the doctor for it's check ups and it'll treat you well.
