The Lamborghini Club America was founded in California in 1977 by Don Tognolli with the first Club magazine being produced in 1978.
The Club was founded so that owners would have someone to talk to about technical problems, parts availability, or simply the joy of the automobile. The Club ownership passed to Jim and Joan Heady in the early eighties. The Club has grown into the world's largest Lamborghini owners organization. Its 1,500 members come from all parts of the world.
With the purchase of automobili Lamborghini by MegaTech, an International Corporation, a new era has begun.
The Shareholders of automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., Mr. Hutomo Mandala Putra and Mr. Jeff Yap, announced that the plan presented by the company's new Managing Director, Dr. Vittorio Di Capua, has been accepted underlining the new drive of this prestigious car manufacturer. As part of the relaunch, the Share-holders will transfer the exclusive and global responsibility to manage automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. to Dr. Di Capua. Furthermore, the Board has assigned international tasks in Indonesia to Mr. Michael J. Kimberley, former Magazine Director. The New President & CEO of Lamborghini USA is Giuseppe Greco.
Following the Shareholder's visit to the factory, it was decided to integrate automobili Lamborghini USA, the American subsidiary, into the company's global structure and unified policy to further strengthen its presence in the world's largest market. The company's organization structure has been redefined for increased efficiency, cost reduction, definition of management responsibilities and strengthening of its commercial activities in all major worldwide markets.
The club magazine is published three times a year and ranges in size from 45 to 90 pages with a color cover. It is a comprehensive review of what is happening in the Lamborghini world. The magazine covers current events at the factory, the various meets held by our members, Lamborghini history, a classified advertising section free to members, technical information and automotive magazine reports on new Lamborghini products. The magazine is one of the finest of all the exotic automobile club magazines.
Lamborghini owners are known for their enjoyment of good wine, fine food, quality functions and a friendliness that is un-matched in the automotive world. The Club is open to all enthusiasts and owners.
Annual Club dues are $60 for USA & Canada and $85 elsewhere.
