Project

This is my '96 Ford Ranger XL ( Ya I know I'm cheap but none of my veicles stay stock anyway).  The first thing I did was install a Kenwood KDC-3007 CD player and Kenwood speakers from Crutchfields.  The next modification that I did was to re-form my fender and door compliments of a steep ditch, but thats all patched up now, I also added a bikini hood protector, and lighted Ford emblems front and rear, and of corse the best add-on was the 18 ga. galvinized sheet metal cup holder (built to last).
Soon I am going to drop a 5.0 in to it and add  a Lund Racerback, Mustang Cobra 17" rims and low-pro tires, a tanau cover,  ghost pearl scalips, and some sport bucket seats, and other Cobra components (suspention maby?).
2.3 Liter Engine Until then I have begun modifying the stock 2.3 L 4-banger.  The easiest and most sugested way to gain horsepower is to remove the intake snorkle and the baffle.  I found this tip at FordRanger.com This mod cost me only $2 for a piece of 3" exaust pipe at the local muffler shop.  If you use exaust pipe have the shop flare one end about 1/8-1/4" on one end because the baffle is larger on one end.  If you own a 2.3 L I highly recamend this tip because it ads ( my closest guess ) about 3-5 hp, visit FordRanger.com/Tip1 for all the details.

Remember: There's no replacement for cubic displacement!

As with all my trucks this site is always under construction
