The engine makes the differance to a car. I am not gonna tell why you should fit a sort of engine in, but I can tell you why there is the engine in a 2CV. The 2CV doesn't need a lot of power and the engine has to be reliable. Also the engine has to be light, compared to the rest of the car. So they developed a 2 cylinder boxerengine, aircooled. It came in 375 cc, 425 cc and 602 cc engine. Later they modified the 602 cc engine for the LNA and Visa club, by making it a computer ignited 652 cc engine. The engine had to be basic, strong and easy to repair!
