This headlight system (picture), uses one 55 watt halogen driving light as the low beam, and one 100 watt halogen driving light as the high beam. For off-road use, I can switch both on, for a total of 155 watts. The XR650L alternator puts out 186 watts. For off-road riding, I have altered the electrical system, so I can ride with all the lights off, or just the headlights on. The bracket was bent up from 1/2" electical conduit and is attached to the fork tubes by hose clamps.
