***   Trip to Thassos Island of Greece on 18-22/May/2000 ***

Departed from Istanbul on 18 May 2000 afternoon about 16:45 as 11 bikes and arrived to border about 19:15. After completing the formalities at the both border, arrived to our first night stop Alexandropoli. We had delicious dinner consist of meat and sea foods, our dear friend Johny joined to us for acouple hours with his Goldwing, than went to listen traditional "Greek Bouziki" till the early hours of themorning with the kind organization of "Evros Motorcycle Club" at Alexandropoli..
Next day, departed from our hotel named "Alexandria Beach" about 10.00 o'clock, direction to "Keramoti Port"  to have our ferry to" Thassos" island. On the way, we gave two breaks, first one was a coffe break at the coast of  "Porto Lagos" second was a "motorcycle shop" near to Xanthi.
When we arrived to "Thassos", local people  helped  to us to find a hotel of course it was at the sea side. We swam & rest all day, than had small tour to city center. We had delicious dinner at our hotel's restaurant under the mysterious light of the full moon. Next day, we had a trip around the island, and swam at a lovely beach. Same night, we went "Zorba Tavern" at the city center and listened traditional Greek music and tasted traditional Greek foods again. Sunday, we spend  our all day at the beach under the sun and swam & chatted lot, afternoon, we took ferry to go back to "Keramoti Port", and gave a break again at "Alexandropoli" and stayed there one night and had another delicious dinner. Monday, we departed very early in the morning (about 04:00) , passed through the both customs immediately and arrived to Istanbul before the working hours started...
