We
departed on 13,00 o'clock from Berke Moto, arrived to Kınali about 45 minutes
after, ate delicious Turkish meat named "Sac Kavurma" (Roasted meat with
mushrooms and tomatoes with spices) visited our friend's Levent Gondur
summer house, spend couple hours lying on green grass under the warm Sun
and come back to Istanbul. Later
on we went "Guzelcehisar" cafe shop where Goksu river met with Bosporus.
Spend another couple hours on our friend's boat berthed to Guzelcehisar's
port. It was really lovely Sunday for all of us

After
having our traditional breakfast at Capa Restaurant, we departed on 12,30
from Berke Moto, arrived to Kınali about 60 minutes after . We
went "Ali Ogretmen Korusu" and made barbecue than visited our friend Kahraman's
summer house, spend couple hours lying on green grass under the warm Sun
and come back to Istanbul. In this trip we had two new visitors from Greece. Later
on we went "Ali Baba Tea House " on the Bosphorus coast, spend another
couple hours chatting about our coming long weekend trip between
18-20 May 2000 which is also one of our National Holidays.

Departed
from Istanbul on 04/06/2000 Saturday afternoon about 19,00 o'clock,
by "Speed Ferry- boat" to Yalova city, after having 70 kms easy riding
under ligfht rain , arrived Bursa city and had our dinner at "Hunkar restaurant".
Eat traditional delicious "Iskender Kebab". Later on headed to
our Hotel "Celik Palace" which is highly populer with his "naturel hot
spring baths" . After spending couple hours at baths, we visited our motorcyclist
friend Engin's bar named "Korokodil" than went to another bar named "Jazz
- Bar". Next morning, we had second sessionn at the termal baths. Our Goldwinger
friend Naci from Bursa come to our hotel and took us to his home at Bademli
district of Bursa. His wife prepared delicious open buffet with barbecue.
We had a lovely garden party and swam at the pool. We left Bursa
about 19,00 o'clock arrived to Istanbul about 22,30 and completed
our day with a lovely dinner at TGI Friday restaurant in Etiler -
Istanbul. Everybody
was so happy. Many thanks once again our dear Goldwinger friend "Naci and
his wife" for their kind hospitality...

/June / 2000 Istanbul - Saroz - "Gallipoli National Park" -Canakkale -
Bandırma-Istanbul (500

Departed from
Istanbul on 09/06/2000 Friday afternoon about 18,00 o'clock, after
having 310 kms easy & cool riding arrived "Orfoz Motel"
located at "Saroz Bay" and had our delicious dinner at "Orfoz Motel's restaurant
which is very popular with his delicious sea foods from clean waters
of "Saroz Bay" . Next morning,
we had a lovely breakfast at the same Motel ( Crêpes recommended).
Later on departed for our second destination "Kum Motel" located
at Gallipoli National Park. Everybody should
see this national park which is under protection of state and not allowed
for construction. Kum Motel is surrounded green fields and sea in the middle
of nowhere. We swam all day, afternoon, we headed to "Eceabat" town which
is 30 kms away from our motel. We preferred the scenic national park road,
it was fantastic. Everybody should ride through all this park. In
Eceabat town, we went a Australian oriented bar named "Vegemite" (means;
Australian origin vegetable paste) we spend couple hours over there chatting
the owners and playing dart. All Sunday, we
were at beach, afternoon we departed about 17.00 o'clock, took a small
ferry from Eceababat, passed the "Dardanell Strait" and arrived the Canakkale
city. We had short brake over there and tasted local dessert name "Cheese
Halva". After having 200 kms easy riding arrived to Bandırma town, than
took the Speed - Ferry to Istanbul. It was really lovely long weekend for
us and we finalised our day our traditional TGI Friday restaurant having
our "Frozen Margaritas".

Departed from
Istanbul on 24/06/2000 Saturday morning at 07,00 o'clock by speed ferryboat
and arrived to Bandırma about two hours later, after having
250 kms easy & cool riding via Susurluk, Balıkesir, Edremit, Burhaniye
arrived to"Ortunc Motel", located at the beautiful Bay
of "Cunda Island (Ali Bey Island)" of "Ayvalık town", had our lunch
and swam lot all afternoon. The owner of
the motel Mr. Orhan who is an ex. opera singer and friend of my parents
took us around by his speed boat. Ortunc Motel
should be definitely seen by nature and classic music lovers. Saturday night,
we went center of "Cunda Island" and ate delicious dinner consist
of lovely sea foods of the area. Next morning,
we had our breakfast and spent our all time at beach. We left
the motel about 18,00 o'clock after having 250 kms easy
& cool riding arrived to Bandırma town, than took the Speed -
Ferry to Istanbul. It was really
lovely long weekend for us and we finalized our day, at the traditional
last stop of our Sundays, at TGI Friday restaurant having our "Frozen
Margaritas" and ice creams. We would like
to thank once again for the kind hospitality of Mr. Orhan Tunc and his
ultimate contributions to Turkish tourism sector as he created such a beautiful
hidden paradise preserving the nature.

/June / 2000 Istanbul- Gokceada (Imbros Island)-Istanbul photo (750

Departed from
Istanbul on 01/07/2000 Saturday morning at 04,30 o'clock. We had a small
tea break at "Tekirdağ City" and another breakfast break at "Koru Mountain"
with the magnificent "Saroz Bay" view at the early hours of morning. After
riding through the twisty and recently asphalted roads of Gallipoli
Peninsula, arrived to "Kabatepe Port" to have our feyy boat to "Gokceada". About two
hours
sailing, we arrived to "Gokceada" where is located at the south west
of Gallipoli Peninsula at the entrance of "Canakakkale Bogazi" (Dardanelles). We stayed at
"Uncle Yorgo's" pension house where is located at "Tepekoy
Village" which is 7 kms north of the town center . We spent
all afternoon at the beach named " Gizli Liman" ( Hidden Port ). It was really
magnificent, the beach was 3 kms long with sands and there were only few
people around, the sea was like a glass,
in other words was like our own giant swimming pool. We had suntan. Same night ,
we had our delicious dinner, consist of lovely sea foods of the area, at
Uncle Yorgo's restaurant, drunk too much
local wines and " Greek Uzo" and went the bad. Next morning,
we had our breakfast consist of fresh local products
and had a small tour around the island. We left
our pension about 18,30 o'clock, for our ferry back to Kabatepe port.
Arrived the Kabatepe about 21:00 o'clock, after having 200 kms riding arrived
to Tekirdağ City, had a small break for our late dinner and ate delicious
local food named "Tekirdag Koftesi" (Tekirdag meat ball) than another 150
kms riding, arrived to Istanbul. On the way back, the traffic was intensive
since all the people coming back to Istanbul from their weekend program.
Everything was perfect at Gokceada, especially, we can not forget the kind
hospitality of "Uncle Yorgo" and The family "Aktaş" who have a small open
air cafeteria on a small hill named "Coban'ın Yeri" (Shepherd's), they
make traditional hand made Turkish "Gozleme" which is a kind
of thin bread cooked with cheese or vegetable or meat or mixed and
hand made "Ayran" (yoghurt drink) For more detais

Departed from
Istanbul on 05/08/2000 Saturday morning at 07,00 o'clock by speed ferry
boat and arrived to Bandırma about two hours later, after having
250 kms easy & cool riding via Susurluk, Balıkesir, Edremit, Burhaniye
arrived to our friend Mahir's Parents' summer house in Altinova district
of Ayvalik Town. Mahir took us with his small boat around for
swimming, later on we had our lunch and swam lot all afternoon. Later on, we
went "Cunda (Ali Bey) Island" and had a lovely dinner at Gunay restaurant
consist of delicious sea foods of the area. Next morning,
we had our breakfast all together and spend our all time at
the beach. We left
Ayvalik about 17,00 o'clock, after having 250 kms easy
& cool riding arrived to Bandırma town, than took the Speed -
Ferry to Istanbul. It was a lovely
weekend for us and we would like to thank once again Mahir's Parents
for their kind hospitality.

Departed from
"Istanbul" on 17/09/2000 Sunday morning at 07,30 o'clock , after
having 250 kms easy & cool riding via "Tekirdag & Edirne Cities",
arrived"Saroz Bay" and had a nice breakfast in "Koru Mountain Forest Rest
House " with lovely Saroz Bay view, later on following to nice twisty Gallipoli
road, we arrived to "Kum Motel" in the boundriesof "Gallipoli National
Park" and had rest
and swam lot at the last days of summer. Later on, we
took small ferry - boat from Kilitbahir town to pass the "Dardanelles",and
arrived "Canakkale City", following Lapseki, Biga road arrived to our usual
last stop "Bandırma Town" of "Balikesir City" to have speed ferry - boat
to Istanbul. We arrived to Istanbul about 24:00 o'clock. We can summarize
this trip as, 19 hours, 570 kms, 5 cities, 2 continents, 2 ferry
boat, too much swim, fun, rest, and cool &
easy riding...

Departed from
Istanbul on 30/ September /2000, Saturday morning at 07,00 o'clock
by speed ferryboat and arrived to Bandırma town about two hours
later, after having 250 kms easy & cool riding via Susurluk, Balıkesir,
Edremit, Burhaniye arrived to"Ortunc Motel" at Cunda (Ali Bey) island
of Ayvalik town, and had our lunch. Ortunc Motel
should be definitely seen by nature and classic music lovers. Saturday night,
we went Center of "Cunda Island" and had a delicious dinner
consist of lovely sea foods of the area at
"Gunay Restaurant". Sunday morning,
we had our breakfast, had a nice walk about 7 kms, around the peninsula
with a lovely panorama, and swam some hours at the last days of the summer.
We left the motel about 15,45 o'clock, after having 250 kms easy
& cool riding arrived to Bandırma town, than took the Speed -
Ferry to Istanbul.
