As we have been invited by our Greek friends  to a river part at "Kastaneia" town of greece, we wanted to visit them and departed from Istanbul on 29/07/2000 Saturday very early in the morning. In this trip, we used the other border named "Pazarkule" between Turkey & Greece. After having 270 kms cool riding through TEM motor way, we arrived to Edirne city of Turkey. We had  a short brake in a coffee shop located very near to Selimiye Mosque which is a very famous anchinent Mosque made by a famous Ottoman Architect named Mimar Sinan.

Since our friend Mahir had no triptik and insurance documents, he went to "Kapıkule" border to Turing Club to complete the missing documents. Kapıkule is  name of the border between Turkey and Bulgaria. Later on, we all headed to Pazarkule border which is 8 km away from the city center. The border was quite after completing the formalities, we passed the Turkish border and arrived to Greek side. Our dear friend Johnny and his friend Doctor Teo were waiting for us over there. This border is open between 9:00-11:00 at weekends and 09:0013:300 during week time, therefore you have to arrange your schedule according this time limitations.
After completing the formalities at the Greek border, our friend Johnny took us to the river party place which is 5-6kms away from the border than we went to Orestiada town of Greece where our friend Johnny living there. We met with the other Greek friends over there at Johnny's Jazz Bar & Internet coffeshop.
Later on, we went to our hotel at Didymetoka town which is 20 kms south of "Orestiada". We changed our clothes and come back to Orestiada for lunch. They prepared for us a long table and offered to us a lovely lunch. After lunch we went back to our hotel for a rest. After the rest, we went to Orestiada about 22:00 o'clock to meet the  friends and went together to the party area as a big crazy & noisy convoy. When we arrived there we higly surprised, it was so & so  & so crowded, there were many bikes, cars, people around. There was a big stage and a Greek Group was singing and playing traditional Greek songs. There were many vendors around whose offer food and drinks as well as handycrafts, posters T-shirts, souvenirs etc... It was a typical festival atmosphere. We had too much fun, drunk, and danced later on we went one of the nice disco of the Orestiada and kept to enjoy. Next morning we woke up so early as we had to go back to Turkey from the same border since the other border named "Ipsla" were blocked due to high traffic caused from Turkish expatriates who works in Europe and come back to Turkey for vacation.
We arrived the border 10:00 and succeed to pass about 11:00 than the border closed while many cars were still waiting to pass the border !!! On the way back, our Greek brothers Vaggelis & Kiryakos were with as  they were going to Bodrum town of Turkey. We took the motor way together, after 20 kms they took Havza exit to go South than we kept to go straight, on Corlu town we gave a long break which the weather was so hot, than departed again. Before 70 kms away from Istanbul our friend Mahir's bike had flat tire, we tried to fixed it but the cut was so big therefore we called BMW and asked their road assitance, they help us than we all  arrived to Istanbul safely. In this trip we enjoyed to much and met many new Greek friends, by this ocassion we send our best wishes to Teo, Sterio, Papu & his wife and the others that I can not remeber the names now...
