First Long Trip of Spring 1998
Hi Everybody,
Finally, we realised the first long
trip of spring 1998.
We departed from Istanbul on 03 April
1998 Friday afternoon about 16.00 o'clock together with our friend Cemil
who own a BMW 1100GS.
(This was not an exact Goldwing trip
!)
After passing the Turkish-Greek border,
we stayed one night at Kavala city in Greece.
Saturday morning, we departed about
10.00 o'clock from Kavala, spent about 700-800 kms, got ferry boat from
Igomenitsa port (West Coast of Greece) on 24.00 o'clock to Brindisi port
of Italy and arrived to Italy on 5 April 1998 about 08.00 o'clock in the
morning.
We rode all day about 800 kms and
arrived to Ferrara city in North of Italy stayed two nights and visited
Eurowing Goldwing Shop.
After Ferrara, we visited Venice,
Verona, Lake Garda - Sirmione (stayed 2 nights), Savona, Cenova (suffered,
wind, rain, snow & hailstorm), Portofino, St.Margharita (stayed 2 nights).
We departed from St.Margharita on
11 April 1998 Saturday about 6.00 o'clock in the morning, rode about 1000
kms all day, arrived Brindisi, got again a ferry boat from Brindisi to
Igomenitsa about 20.30 o'clock. We arrived to Igomenitsa on 12 April 1998
Sunday about 08.00 o'clock in the morning. We rode again 1100 kms all day
and arrived to Istanbul on 12 April 1998 Sunday late night.
During this trip, we have spent about 5.000 kms, 9 nights and 10 days
