BOZCAADA  ISLAND

Bozcaada is small Fisherman and wine yard island at Aegean sea and obviously very popular with it's wines.
It is very convenient for summer holiday with the nice beaches, clean & cool sea, cheap accommodation conditions and quite atmosphere.
It is also suitable for trekking, wind surf with continuos strong winds and  biking among wine yards.

Where is Bozcaada ?
Bozcaada is at the south east of Canakkale (Dardanelles) strait.

How can you reach ?
From Istanbul there are two convenient alternatives to go Bozcaada .
* Istanbul, Tekirdag, Kesan, Gallipoli, Eceabat - Canakkale (by Ferry boat which takes about 25 minutes) than after 54 kms you reach
Geyikli port, take ferry boat again which takes about 25 minutes and arrive to Bozcaada.
In this option you ride about 375 kms and spend about  5-6 hours.
* Second alternative; Istanbul -Bandirma by new "fast ferry boat" which takes about  1.45 hours, from Bandirma follow the road to Biga, Lapseki, Canakkale and arrive to Geyikli port than take ferry boat again to Bozcaada. In this option you ride only 200 kms and spend about 5-6 hours. The view between Bandirma- Lapseki road is unbelievable, traffic is very light and road conditions are quite good.

Where can you stay ?
Güzelcehisar pension, Aral Holiday Farm (recently opened in July 1999 , run by Aral family) , Ege Hotel (ex Greek school), Capraz holiday village, Tenes Hotel and many other family pensions.

Food & Beverages
Delicious sea foods (fish, shrimps, octopus, calamari etc..), Bozcaada wines, meat, local vegetable foods.
Güzelcehisar, Koreli, Lisa, Sehirli, Boruzan restaurants are located side by side at the port.

Beaches
Ayazma beach, Aquarium beach and many other unnamed secret beaches waiting for your visit with their clean sands and crystal waters...
There are lot of cantinas at the Ayazma beach.

Bars
There are only two bars at the town. "Salhane Bar" is at the west end of the town, at the coast, surrounded with rocks, you can watch the lights of the mainland and Bozcaada Castle, enjoy with the voice of the waves and wind  as well as with your drink.
Güzelcehisar Bar is in the town, at the roof of Güzelcehisar restaurant - pension with the port view.
