This was my first RamAir setup..
Ram Air Setup
To set up a homemade ram air system with the stocked airbox you will
need:
3"x6' flexible aluminum dryer hose, 3"x8"x11" plastic gutter downspout
scoop , two 4" hose clamps, black heat resistant tape, K&N air filter
and about 1 hour of free time.
Take off the stock air intake. Raise the car and beneath you will see
a hole in the plastic engine cover. Push the scoop in the hole & it
should stay in. Take the dryer hose and fish it down to the scoop. Hook
the hose with the clamp to the scoop (it will be a tight bend by the
transmission.) At the airbox cut the hose to length. When the ducting
was to my satisfaction, I pulled it out and wrapped it in black tape
(didn't like the way the duct looked.) Cut off about 10" of the lower
air foil so more air can get in. Secure the scoop with some screws, put
in the K&N air filter and GO!!
