Rider Ed. Corner Don & Donna Wood

Just a quick review of the items I talked about at the last meeting, for those who could not make it.

  1. The Rider Education Program: I outlined this program in the October newsletter and now have some copies on hand of the enrollment forms so if you would like one, or just have some questions, please contact Donna or myself.
  2. Theory Sessions: We will, depending on interest, be holding the three - three hour theory seminars. The format will be basically the same last year. Cost (to cover material costs) will be $3.00 for G.W.R.R.A. members and $5.00 for non-members. Derf introduced the concept of standardized programs for the district for both the E.R.C. and the theory sessions. The Chapter Educators at the special Rider Educator's meeting at the District meeting on the mainland seemed to like the idea
  3. .
  4. E.R.C. (Experienced Rider Course): 1999 date to be announced. The E.R.C. format will be very similar to last year with the theory and practical portions for the rider and the co-rider. This time, however, time permitting and interest permitting, a trailering portion will be added. This portion would include some theory and some riding exercises.

I finally dug up the list that I was given on winterizing your motorcycle and it seemed like a bit much to include in a newsletter. So, if you would like some tips on winterization, talk to Mike at Sidney Touring, as he was the supplier of the list that

I am referring to. It mentions some very good storage ideas for those of us who suffer through P.M.S. (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome)!

Until next time, take care, have fun, ride safe

and our Best Wishes in the Holiday Season
