Alan Wilder is far from nearmusic noises like the next distribution of the elephants on MTV, he dont accept the today's foundations of show-business as a whole. Why? Really this man would not like glories or even presence of one of his compositions in charts?
Its very simple. Wilder is a former participant and musical director of Depeche Mode. In 1995, having lead 13 years in one of the most popular groups of the world and being by its integral part, Alan accepts difficult, but the inevitable decision to leave DM. Nowadays he is engaged only in Recoil project and only in the pleasure.
After a three-year break, spring of this year Alan has finished work with a new next album Liquid. As well as at two previous works - Bloodline and Unsound Methods, in a new album Wilder has mixed many of styles, and the accent is made on industrial component. And is not casual - Alan knows sense in noncommercial music. Recoil, at the request of industrial-guru Trent Reznor, warmed up public during last NIИ tour.
It is interesting, that Alan at one time drives... a Zhiguli! Why the inhabitant of the English city Basildone not drives a Rover or Austin? Really star of global scale was at one time rolled on Tolyatti's "bucket"?
I preperaed to contact with Alan by e-mail, and he kindly has agreed to give exclusive bliz-interview for AВw.
D.S. - Alan, as far as I know, you at one time drives a Lada. Tell me, please, which it there was a model and what modelling year. Why you have preferred it?
A.W. - I'm afraid I can't remember the model or the year - it was a long time ago (around 1981) and I didn't 'prefer' it! I bought it because my father recommended it as a good cheap second-hand car. I won't be taking advice from my father again.
D.S. - Which interesting cases occured with owning of these automobile?
A.W. - Breakdowns on the motorway and stronger muscles due to the tank-like steering.
D.S. - Whether this machine was in a 1986 DM Stripped video? There where DM crashed the Lada-2102 Estate.
A.W. - Not my car - unfortunately. Mine was red.
D.S. - Which automobile you own today? How it is attractive to you?
A.W. - I drive a Mercedes SL300, a Renault Espace and a Citroen Light 15 (1954). The Mercedes is reliable and still looks good even though it's an 80's design (probably speech goes about last generation of SL roadster - D.S.), the Renault is great when you have a child and the Citroen sits in my garage and looks good. I never seem to find the time to get it out andactually drive it (which is a bit sad). Citroens are my first love and my favourite all time car is the Citroen DS ( I used to own one).
