After a Space Wagon of new generation debut in the European market, this spring the Japanese automaker began deliveries here and new generation of Space Runner, also known as RVR for the Japanese market acting in one class with Renault Megane Scenic.
New RVR has appeared two years back. And these two years it was let out only for the Japan market, where was realized through a dealer network Car Plaza". This circumstance has affected origin of hearings that the second generation RVR will not go to Europe - you see here, on capacities of the Netherland enterprise Nedcar let out hardly smaller on the sizes Spase Star. As has appeared, the fears were vain. Space Runner has survived.
RVR, as against model of the previous generation, let out in two versions - base "urban", having a designation N61W, and allroad Spors Gear, carrying an internal code N74WG. In Europe avaliable only first under the mark Space Runner, but not necessary is to excluded and occurrence here by second - main competitor, Scenic - already has got the allroad version RX4, and the Japanese hardly will miss chance to competite with last But Sports Gear has appeared two years prior to it. The truth, while it can be bought only by the Japanese. Which can not buy RX4.
The Space Runner style was created in complete conformity with representation of the designers of firm about the new edge concept, and as a characteristic element it is necessary to consider "brawny" stamps above wheels.
But the style this is completely individual not only for each of Space Runner updatings - RVR, but also for all Mitsubishi MPVs, that, I shall note, was not observed - old earlier RVR if not to take in attention the short base, by the appearance practically completely copied the Space Wagon: had an effect notorious Japanese "without face" automanufacturing.
New Space Runner on the contrary, has more dynamical shape. The machine has assembled in rectangular headlihts blocks and six-spoke cast disks by a landing diameter of 15 inches already in the standard. A body, as against Megane Scenic and Mazda Premacy, ��������������, and lateral back door - slides. The interior contains five passengers.
Space Runner has on some updatings motors GDI (1,8 litres and capacity 140 h.p., used also on Galant, Legnum and Carisma models, and 2,4-liter capacity 165 h.p.), equipped patented by Mitsubishi electronic system allowing considerably to increase feedback of the engine and at the same time to reduce consumption of fuel and quantity of harmful emissions in an atmosphere.
The modificarion with GDI are equipped four-step automatic INVECS of the second generation with sports mode of operations. The 2,0-liter without GDi goes only with a five-high-speed manual box of transfers.
The electric drives of glasses and mirrors, ABS, monitoring system of brake effort, pillow of safety for the driver and passenger, immobilizer with central lock, is standard equipment for Space Runner. One more system of safety is interesting, though, perhaps, it is too loudly told - it the rise of a glass brakes, if on its ways there are essential obstacles. This "toy" should reach on customs "new Russians" - due to this system fingers by glass will not press precisely.
