THE MOSCOW MOTOR SHOW OF THIS YEAR UNDER THREAT OF FAILURE
Such still never was. The conducting auto manufacturers of the world have refused to participate in the Moscow automobile exhibition IS-2000. As the reason so of the decision is the recommendation of the European business club has served.
The experts of club have carried out negotiation with the organizers of an exhibition and came to a conclusion, that in the country with obvious attributes of an economic crisis of annual such measure are inadmissible luxury. Besides one more not last argument for the benefit of such boycott - the biggest prices for places in the Moscow Expocentre.
The exhibition is boycotted practically by all known companies, which production can be seen on all basic world motor shows. So, we bend fingers: Audi, BMW (including its British division Rover), Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Citroen, Jeep, Fiat (including its divisions Alfa-Romeo, Ferrari and Lancia), Ford (including its divisions Jaguar, Mazda, Volvo and Land-Rover), Mitsubishi, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Saab, Volkswagen (including its divisions Seat and Skoda) and Toyota.
Besides these firms have forbidden to the official dealers to participate in motorshow. Under the preliminary information it will be possible to see only Renault range and production of tuning-firms such a Brabus. But it any more motor show, and the market of spare parts turns out.
Probably, the organizers-muscovites will appear compliant and will lower the prices for places in pavilions. They all the same love there to have auction. Whether only will solve it a problem? However, time till August still is.
