On last year's Detroit motor - show Ford were not too distributed about what was used a platform and with what motor was installed. Now already it is known, that on T-bird of new generation will put the 256-strong four-liter V8 and five-step automatic box of transfers from Lincoln LS sedan. Installation of more powerful motor, probably, even modified V8 from Jaguar's "hot coupe" XKR with a six-step manual box of transfers is possible as later.
T-bird of new generation will be let out in yellow, red, black, white, silver and, probably, in dark blue colourings. The automobile will be standard to be equipped with 18-inch polished cast disks, same, as well as at the last year's prototype.
And nevertheless it is necessary to give back the due vice-president Ford on design Jay Mays - he has worked ������������� to the fee. It is possible to consider Mays as the quite good expert on "reincarnation" of classical models - in his active - creation of new Beetle. Ford with transition in it has received of that man, which not only will be the generator of ideas of corporate design, but also skilled (I think, creation of new T-bird and of Beetle it justify) expert in development of ideas of classical automobiles. Probably, to this man will be obliged by the appearance a Mustang of new generation.
The release of the automobile, probably, will begin somewhere in May of the next year at a factory in Viscome, Michigan, there, where build LS. The display of the serial version of new generation T-bird is possible already on the following the Detroit auto show.
