ud's 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury Project|
This page shows the restoration efforts I have put in to get my Sport Fury up and running. The car was imported from USA in 1995. I bought this car from a photo supplied. After much agonizing, I finally got this baby home. Here are my progress pictures to date:- |

The Australian version of the Plymouth Fury was re-badged to Dodge Phoenix. The Fury dash and instrument panel was replaced with a 1965/66 Dodge Polara. I think it must have been easier to duplicate the Dodge panel than the Fury which used plastic facia panels where as the Dodge are all die-cast. (Potmetal) As can be seen, my Fury utilizes the Polara dash taken from an Australian Dodge Phoenix. I have converted the door Power Window switch controlls into the centre console. These switches actuate relays which power the electric windows. Other differences are the rear turn indicators in Australia utilise orange indicators which also act as the Reverse lights. |
