More pics! These are newer except for the first one which was taken at SIR in 97 at the entrance where most of the BC boys met and I just found recently through another Passat list member.
Below are the wheels I had dreamed of. I couldn't wait to see what difference the Quaife and lighter wheels would make that year! Well it dropped me to 15.71 and speed of 88.96mph. Quite happy to finally break out of the 16's. Especially since my friends 16V Gti was neck and neck with me at the finish. Now for those wondering why my car is so damn slow try launching a 3400lb Passat! Slow to start but once it gets moving... this is also the year where I blew one of my Bridgestone SO2's (want to see expensive tires??) outside Seattle on a Sunday night due to alignment. Glad everyone saw me stop and gave a hand. Of course then everyone got lost in Seattle trying to find a restaurant but that's another story :-)
My wheels as they sat at Bradley Peets for 3 weeks before I could pick them and my Quaiffe up... talk about torture...
These are 'special' Wilwoods being put on my car at Momentum. I'm sure you'll be hearing about these pretty soon :-) Also have the Polymatrix "D" pads on also and you can see my Abt coilover. Heard some comments that people saw sparks coming out of my wheels during braking on the drive I did that weekend - as if I drive my car hard!
This is a picture of my engine the weekend of the drive when a bunch or Corrados and Sciroccos came up from the US. You can check out the manifold in this pic.
Here's a pic of my car outside Momentum. For those of you who haven't met him the really blonde guy is Shawn whose done ALL the work on my car. He's also the guy that put together the 3.1L 6sp Passat (as well as the A1VR6 Rabbit, A2 VR6 Syncro Gti,Supercharged VR6 Gti,Turbo VR6 Beetle,3.1L Syncro Cabrio, 1.8T Jetta, Golf, Scirocco, working on a A3 AWD 300hp 1.8T Golf CL, etc etc.)of a couple years ago - hey I'm almost there... anything you want done to your car to make it faster he can do it. And remember speed costs money - how fast can you afford to go?
Getting gas before the drive up the "Sea to Sky" highway to Whistler. You can almost see my calipers! Some other nice cars here too - most from @Seattle...
Hey - just for the view. Halfway to Whistler at McDonalds on Sat, Feb 20. One of the best roads to drive I've been on.
Anything you want to say or ask email me at [email protected]. Anyways that's what my car looks like and whats been done to it as of 2 years ago - like I said before when I bought it all I wanted to do was lower it, get wheels and maybe chip it. Its come a long way since then. The next page has my newest mods - custom exhaust, Genie header, full Zender kit and Abt grill. Here's some pics of that stuff...Anyways I live by Vancouver BC so if you guys ever come up here we can get together. Just send me an email first!
