Glenn Robinson is getting heaps of traffic tickets these days. They're
not for the usual like speeding. For a clue check his NUMBERPLATE .
The Aucklander boasts the loudest car in New Zealand- this red 1983
reconditioned (changed from the original 1600cc to 1800) Mitsubishi
Cordia with a sound system that has cops writing out $110 tickets for
noise pollution even when he's parked at the side of the road.
Glenn (22) lives for his sound. He's spent $48,000 on the gear.
"No time for a social life, I work 7 days a week." He works
for Car Audio developments, the distributors of Lanzar so knows how to
install it itself..
The loudest in NZ? It's official. He won the coveted Sound Pressure
Level trophy at the car audio buff's national soundoff champs. The
reading: 150.2 dB.

The champ, who likes listening to gangsta rap, isn't satisfied. He's
planning to import a Chevy from the States to put in an even bigger
system in time for the next soundoffs.
What's the most important thing? "Battery power. It's gotta be
right." And it's not how just how much gear you have in the car
but where you put it.
Want to own the loudest car in NZ? Glenn would consider selling it.
Asking price: at least $25,000.
