 Founded in the 1920s, Bentley has historically had a reputation for building powerful
 and expensive automobiles. Beset with financial troubles during the Depression, the
 British company was unable to continue and was sold to Rolls-Royce in 1931. In
 1946 the platforms became standardized for both Rolls-Royce and Bentley models, a
 practice which continued until the Continental R, unique to the Bentley line, was
 introduced in 1992.
 
There are currently 4 members of the Bentley family of automobiles.  They are the Brooklands, the Turbo R, the Continental (R and T), and the Azure.  While they are extremely fast, and were originally designed as sports cars, Bentleys are now living a life of luxury, and some say, they are more luxurious, and certainly more expensive than Rolls-Royces.
