Dollar for Dollar the BEST performance improvement you can make to a Neon is nitrous oxide. After being on the mailing list for about a year, I've noticed that more people are accepting nitrous as a form boosting performance in a Neon. While I won't go into detail about how nitrous works, I will tell you that it's worth every penny. Basically there are many companies you could buy your kit from, but the best two that I have seen out there are Nitrous Express and NOS, a distant second. Nitrous Express just flat out makes a better kit, period. You can expect at lease .8 - 1.0 second drop in et's and a jump in MPH up to almost 8 from just a 50hp shot. These are some of the best times I've heard from other Neon owners that are currently using nitrous.

Scott Moore is the owner of Project Neon. He has add many things to this Neon over the past few months. His best times to date are in the low 14 - high 13 second range. The Neon uses a Nitrous Express Dodge EFI kit, jetted at 50hp. He has since moved up to 75hp and now gets almost nothin but clutch slippage. This is Bob Perciaccante's Dodge. One of his many upgrades includes a Nitrous Express single nozzle system and a NX purge kit. Even Bob doesn't know how fast his Neon is, he's waiting for the weather back in NJ where he's from to clear up. I would guess low 13's if not 12's on slicks.
