For those who missed Dyno Day, sucks for you... It's was great, lots of people to talk to and lots of ideas bouncing around about Neon Performance in the coming months. Thanks to everybody who showed up and a special thanks goes out to AzNeon for making the 4+ hour trip to SoCal. We are planning another one soon, be sure you show-up for this one.
There were 10 Neons and 1 Stratus. Only 7 cars ran that I know of, since I was late :). The cars that ran before I got there were, Shane's ACR Coupe and Scott's Turbo Expresso. So without making you wait any longer here are the results...

Scott Moore - AzNEON

An otherwise stock DOHC 2.0L engine w/ (4) 330cc injectors, HKS AIC, Greddy Profec, G-16 turbocharger, "log" style exhaust manifold, Spearco intercooler, Pacesetter exhaust system and Magnecor 8.5mm wires.

Run #1

Run #2

Run #3

Barry Jeung - BANEON

Stock DOHC w/ Quikpipe, Unorthodox underdrive pulley and Magnecor 8.5mmm wires

Run#1 - Speed to low for good measurement

Run#2 - Baseline Hood Open

Run#3 - Baseline Hood Closed

Shane Hale - SoCal Neon

Stock DOHC w/GUDE ported/port-matched intake manifold, GUDE throttle body, Dynomax cat-back exhaust, Group 5 intake and Magnecor 8.5mm wires.

Sorry about that Shane - Only One Run

Jon Quirit - SoCal Neon

Stock SOHC w/K&N Drop-in filer. John's Neon was used to test the Quikpipe, results were disapointing to say that least.

Run#1 - Baseline

Run#2 - Baseline Hood Closed

Run#3 - No Muffler

Owen Riehle - SoCal Neon

Stock DOHC w/K&N drop-in filter. When Owen said he was going to throw everything at the Dynojet, he wasn't kidding. He got no less than 5 runs, and tested everything he could get his hands on... Maybe he's why Shane only got 1 run, but he paid for dinner so we can forgive him.

Run#1 - Baseline (Just the begining)

Run#2 - added Automatic Neon Throttle Body

Run#3 -Same as above but no accessory belts

Run#4 - Same as above but added Quikpipe

Brian Cianessi - SoCal Neon (Stratus)

Stock SOHC w/ Custom intake, Sebring exhaust and Magnecor 8.5mm wires. He was the only Stratus there, but he never felt out of place.

Run#1 - Baseline

Run#2 - Same as above, changed to 14" wheel

Run#3 - Same as above

Compare - Who had the most power & torque out of all the DOHC's?

Barry

Shane

Owen
