Restoration of Our Baby Blue
Welcome to a photographic play-by-play of the restoration of our 1966 Mustang coupe!

We were lucky to find a 1966 Mustang coupe with a straight body and very clean pony interior. But rust had started breaking out all over, and these photos document its removal.
Here are views of the left side before restoring:

Here you see the left side after removal of the chrome trim.
And the bottom edge of the door and the top of the rear fender (looking down from above)...

and the roof edge along the drip rail.
Here you see the left side and rear fender after rust removal and paint...
The right side was in similar condition.

and the right rear quarter panel also needed work.

The engine compartment needed only a good cleaning and detailing.

On to the interior:

But the trunk needed the most attention:
Rust had begun everywhere!
Here, looking at the inside first toward the right fender, then toward the left, the finishing touches, and it's like new!
