Her are a couple of links you can use to trace down a replacement for that lost key. Sometimes you can get the number off the ignition switch and get the dealer to reproduce the key. Sometimes, they do not have the key blanks are the code so you might want to check out the below links. Good luck!
First, you Honda guys might want to try Mark Troxell as I hear he sells old Honda keys. I don't have an e-mail address for him but here is his address and phone number.
56 S 4th Street
Emmaus PA 18049 610-967-3526
Mark sells old Honda Keys.
This fellow has some old Honda keys if you know your number, e-mail him at [email protected] I don't know his name but I heard he charges about $6 per key. Please don't hold me to that.
Joe Maida from the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Forum had this suggestion on old keys. He suggest you
try northeast vintage cycle for the key.
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/nevc. Once there, click on the
minitrail that comes up to enter the site, then click on the "NEW"
banner on
the left. You have to send them your key number and wait for a
reply, or
you could call them.
if the link does not show above, go to the vjmc.org homepage. click on
the
LINKS! banner on the left, then the "$". scroll down the listing of web
sites until you find the one with NEVC in the tailend of the address.
Hey, a special thanks to Joe Maida for the tip!
Stu Oltman of the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Forum says "I also understand that the 70's style keys with a "T" followed by 4 digits are not supplied by Honda anymore. If you're not too concerned about the Honda logo on the key, you can have the key made at a good locksmith shop. The key blank is Taylor brand, and the number is H76". Thanks Stu!!
