Yamaha's BANSHEE
The wildest ride in the ATV world...

Banshee has a twin-cylinder, 347cc, two-stroke reed
valve engine. The powerplant is liquid cooled with the radiator sitting prominently
up in the front cowling. Two 26mm Mikuni carbs feed the beast, wich requires a
gas and oil pre-mix.
The Banshee features a six-speed tranny with a manual cluth.
Like all other high-performance quads, you won't find a reverse gear
or electric start on this machine.
Two pre-load adjustable shocks in the dual A-arms up front
provide a healthy 9.1 inches of wheel travel. In the rear, a single shock
on a conventional swingarm provides 8.7 inches of travel. The rear
shock is adjustable for pre-laod, compression and rebound.
To slow the mighty 350 down, there are disk brakes all the way around. Final
drive is through an O-ring chain. The claimed dry weight is a heavy (for a high-
performance quad) 386 pounds. Dunlop tires can be found at all four corners, with
the rear 20x10-9 meats being of the low-profile variety.
