TS asked me this question
the best way to lower a ranger??????????????????

Well TS it depends what you want to do with it.
If you want to just get a slight drop out of it you could go with some shorter coil springs and some dearched leafs. You may get a 3-3 drop out of that, But if you want to go big time you will want to run a flip kit out back, this will get you down there and you can add blocks after to get you the rest of the way. Now when you do this you are gonna want to run a C notch at the very least. The best would be a super C but that is up to you. As we move on to the front it will get a little more tricky. You need to order lowered I beams, these will get you down 3" by them self's, then you will want to run a lowered spring or better yet air bags. Out of these two things (springs and I beams) you are looking at 6" of drop.
You will want to order the eccentric bushings to keep everything straight and you may want to look for a smaller cross member because you will notice it will tend to hang up on everything. Of course you will want to get lowered shocks too. As for the best way to lower it I would go with the I beams, bags, flip kit, and super C. It will cost you more but it is well worth it.
One guy I talked to said and I quote" ... you can actually probably put juice on one cheaper than you can conventionally drop one.. " Sorry to throw that curve at you but it will make you think real hard on what you want this truck to do.
In any case good luck to you in any road you choose! I hope this helped.
