A range of slip-on exhaust systems are now available. Staintunes seem very popular for sound and quality, and Erions have quite a following too.

It's also possible to modify your original Honda exhaust to make it sound better.
To see how aftermarket pipes would effect your warranty check with your dealer, he is the one who will be dealing with Honda. If you have a problem that could be directly linked to the exhaust system, like burned valves or something like, it could be a question. But if you get the bike and pipes from your local dealer it is most likley they will take care of you.

Reference: #144.1The VTR comes with `specially developed' Dunlop D204 tyres. The handbook warns that the only tyres suitable as a replacement are Dunlop D204s or Michelin Macadam 90XG. Is there any difference between the `special' D204s and normal D204s? Not as far as anyone can tell. Is there any reason why tyres other than the D204 and the 90XG shouldn't be used? People have reported good results from other tyres so it seems that it's not really a problem.

Tank bras prevent the beautiful paint on your tank from being scratched by your jacket zipper. Either that or they're a fashion accessory. One of the two :)

The handlebars on the VTR aren't particularly aggressively positioned as far as sportsbikes go, but they can be a bit uncomfortable for long trips. People who do a lot of touring have been opting for modified handlebars which are placed higher and further back than the standard ones.
