Pedro's Tudor
Peter Wright - 34 Chev
Slingshots Victoria

Anybody who has ever met 'Pedro' Wright knows that he is quite an extrovert (he's such a shy little thing, NOT!) Pedro and his brother Les have been into '34 Chevs forever. Pedro's current tudor first hit the street as a flat black 4 door, way back when. Les still cruises to runs in his yellow and green '34 Chev 4 door, sporting sign written script on the rear stating, "The Wright Bros Are Back", as well as a magnificent (?) 'Who Daky' laid on at the 12th Nationals (1997). Yes, they are back, (where did they go anyway?) and Pedro is back with a vengeance. His new look Chev, with it's Outlaw Performance body imported from the USA, and its Pearl Purple paint, laid on by the boy himself (although his other brother, Albert thought Pedro couldn't improve on the gelcoat, boy, I've made that sound more polite than how Albert actually said it).

The chassis from Pedro's original Hot Rod Chev (if there is such a thing?), has been updated. This included stepping the chassis to suit the 12.5 x 15 Mickey Thompson's that wrap around Budnik wheels. Interestingly, the body had to have the wheel tubs altered, so Pedro's daughters (Nicole & Kristen) could sit comfortably in the rear, on the lavender, wool blend upholstery. At the rear is a 3.89 nine inch that has been narrowed 9" (what else would you narrow a 9"?) Up front is a basically stock 454 Chev (soon to get a little work done to it).

Pedro, being a 90's sort of a guy, had to have a bit of 90's technology in his Chev, with it's Painless wiring electrically operated doors, via a silicon remote, and of course, the obligatory C.D. stacker (whatever happened to 8 tracks?), as well as the huge Autometer guages, with shift (Now!) light.

Actually, Pedro's Chev has been well received by his fellow Slingshot (there's that club again) club members, who reckon it only took about 496 wheelie bins to produce his 'plastic' tudor body. But I think the highlight for Pedro was when he debuted his car at this year's Nationals, and was awarded that most prestigious award for the most washed (that's 'washed', not 'watched') car, awarded by Eastern Valley Club.

So, Pedro, just remember, it's not whether you win trophies, (remember, it is a Chev after all) or lose, but how much fun you can have doing it, and we know you'll have fun, no matter what.
