Earlier this year we visited the Deuce Customs factory. The Nationals were coming up, and Ken had the first '32 2 door Tourer body out of the mould ready to be shipped up to NSW, to be used as one of the give away prizes at the Nationals. While we were there, Ken Brownlee took the time out to discuss some of the cars currently being built for his customers.

We were most impressed by the finish of the bodies, and the excellent door gap alignment. Ken went on to explain that the bodies come fully steeled out, with hidden door hinges and burst proof door locks. As can be seen by the photos on this page, Deuce Customs workmanship is top class. Ken's approach is to have your chassis shipped to his factory, and the body then built to suit. This ensures a good fit every time.
Ken commented that using a glass body is a cost effective approach to building a rod, and they are time saving as well. They are an alternative that should be looked at seriously for your next rod project.

Ken has been involved in hot rodding for a long time. He is a pioneer of fibreglass street rod body industry in this country, and puts out a world class product.
In one area of the factory, one of Ken's employees, Tom Harding, is working on his own street rod. Tom always wanted a coupe, so naturally his project is based on one of Deuce Customs '34 3W Coupe bodies, which meets the ADR body standards, and a Rod City chassis, which has been tubbed 2".

Tom has been working on the '34 for two years, and has chosen to run a 460 big block running on LP gas (this is to satisfy the emissions standards), C6 auto, 9", and 4 bar front & rear. Tom's shifter, handbrake & radiator were all from Hot Rod Hardware. Gauges are a full set of Autometers, and Mazda steering column and bucket seats have been fitted. Wheels to be used are Centreline Warriors.
