This album seems to be doing the same as Boogie People: Thorogood-maniacs love it, the general public thinks less of it. The variety of music is great: from Frank Zappa to Merle Haggard to Elmore James to Thorogood originals. Overall, it does have a slightly different sound than other Destroyer albums. Songs that cover the lighter side are "Jail Bait", "Blues Hang-over", and "Stoop Down". For a change of pace, turn up the bass and rock to "Night Rider", "Manhatten Slide", "Rockin' My Life Away", and "My Dog Can't Bark".
