It's a 1973 4-door with V-8 and C4 automatic. The factory 302 was replaced several years back with a 1987 RHO (remanufactured high output) 5.0L roller-cam engine from Ford.

The junkyard Grabber hood was cut to accommodate a Torino Cobra Jet shaker scoop. The front grille was a junkyard unit that I spraypainted black. The blacked-out headlight bezels were factory NOS units that I located.

Other modifications include 2-1/2" to 2" dual exhaust (couldn't get 2-1/4" around the gas tank), repro Mustang cast iron header exhaust manifolds, Mallory dual point distributor, 1984 factory 4V manifold, Holley 3310-3 carb converted to side hung float bowls, Granada front shock mounts to use HD shocks, VDO gauges, B&M Megashifter ratchet shifter, factory bucket seats out of a junkyard Mav, Addco front and rear sway bars.

Future modifications planned: Ford 9-inch rear end, manual transmission, nitrous oxide.

Best of all, swapping the hood and hubcaps returns it to a mostly stock sleeper appearance.

Thanks for hosting a cool Maverick page!
