1993 was the final production year of the Fox 3 Ford Mustang. This year proved to a sad year but many changes infered hope and happiness to all Mustang Lovers. With the introduction of a new Mustang, the Cobra, heads were sure to turn. Many things occured that make the 1993 Mustanf different than the others. Due to Emissions restrictions and Fuel Economy, the 225 HP @4200 was decreased to 205 HP @4200 RPM. As for torque, 300 ft/lb @3200 was decreased to 3000 ft/lb. Even though one might call these major changes, the 1993 Ford Mustang is still wourthy of her siblings. This 205 HP Monster is FAST!. It may not have the same guts as the others but this car is just as fast off the line as the others.
The same 5.0 HO was present in the 1993 GT. It was accompanied by all its great friends of the past: tuned length aluminum intake plenum, 19 lb-hr injectors, E7TE Truck Heads, Roller Lifer Cam, Remote Low Restriction Air Cleaner and EEC-IV Electronics System. The Stainless Steel Exhaust System and Tubular Headers once again were used again as were the 10.84 in. brakes and GT Suspension. The 1993 GT featured its P225/55ZR-16 Goodyear Uni-Directional Gatorbacks with the Cast Aluminum Wheels(Featured Below)
The Exterior of the 1993 GT remained the same except for color changes. The Mustang had all the features from the past: Fog Lights, Louvered Taillights, Rear Wing, Ground Effects Package, etc..
Ford gave its Mustang virtually brand new colors for its final production year.
