Gentlemen! Start your engines!
**Engines started**
Kyle: Can you hear me?
Greg: Yeah, 10-4, got you loud and clear.
Greg: Alright, Mark, are you going to call the flag again?
Mark: Yes, sir, we'll just the do same as we did last week.
Greg: 10-4, 10-4. If I give him some lap times I'll give them to him as he passes the Start/Finish line when gets strung out, when he's not racing somebody, just in case we don't talk over each other.
Mark: 10-4.
Mark: Okay, Kyle, fixing to roll off here. You're going to have 3 laps.
Pace Laps:
Mark: Okay, Kyle, to your left there are 2 cones. That's the commitment and the speed line.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Mark: Pit road speed right there, Kyle.
Kyle: I got about 46, 4700.
Mark: 10-4, 4600. 2nd gear?
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Mark: 10-4. 4600, 2nd gear.
Greg: Your pit stall is going to be early. Right about there I'm going to have you jump in here. Our pit stall is right here. Ahead of the #25 and behind the #48.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4. You guys have done good. Let's take a quick prayer.
**Team Prayer**
Kyle: Hey you guys did a good job this week, man. Good job. This is the 2nd race. We'll just keep adjusting until we get it right.
Greg: 10-4. Alright guys, let's get focused. Give us everything you got. Have a good day.
Mark: Okay, Kyle, we're going to be coming to the green.
Kyle: 10-4. I need to get the day off and run up top a little while, then I need to get to the bottom as fast as I can. Alright, Mark?
Mark: Yeah, 10-4, I'll get you there as quick as you can hold me.
Mark: Okay, pace car's off.
Mark: Ready. Ready. Green, green, green. Green flag:
**Note:** (Lap 20) What a mess from mid-pack to the end of the field. 3-wide racing. A wreck waiting to happen.
**Note:** (Lap 24) Kyle is having a real tough time getting past the #30. Traffic has sorted out and Kyle is running the bottom.
**Note:** (Lap 29) Finally by the #30. #22, #29, #49 are next.
**Note:** (Lap 36) Passed the #29.
**Note:** (Lap 37) Passed the #49. Don't get in the way of the #45. It's on a rail.
Mark: Got one in the wall behind us. Keep running. Caution is out. Caution's out. Caution Lap 38: #49 scrubs the wall in Turn 2. Cut down RF??
Mark: Track will be clear.
Greg: Alright, Kyle, your temperatures okay? What do we need to do? When you're by yourself your lap times are okay.
Kyle: Yeah, 10-4. When we started out the car was just a little tight and it snaps loose up off the corner. Starts a little tight and then it comes in to its own. 10-4?
Greg: 10-4, 10-4. Alright, guys, let's get him in here and get 4 tires on it. He'll be here quick. 4 tires.
Mark: Slow one down here in the middle of Turns 1 and 2.
Greg: Is your entry okay?
Kyle: Yeah, so far. So far it's fine.
Greg: 10-4. Let's get 4 tires on it and see if we can beat some of these guys out. Need a good stop, guys.
Mark: Okay, Kyle, 4600 at those double cones. Leaders are coming. Leaders are coming.
Mark: We're going to have to go around the #25 and the #48 will be sitting there.
Greg: Right up here ahead of that #25. Right in here. Right in here. 4 tires, guys. 4 tires.
Pit Stop: (Lap 40) 4 tires, fuel.
**Note:** Jeff also pitted. 14.66 seconds.
Greg: Go, go, go, go hard. Go hard. Go hard. All the way out. All the way out. Nobody coming. All the way out.
Mark: Kyle, you've got a tire out against the outside wall. About a car length in the middle now. Stay up against the wall, outside. There you go.
Greg: Like I said, Kyle, when you got out there and ran a few laps by yourself your lap times looked pretty good. You were running with the leaders and the guys running by themselves. Having to race those guys is what hurt us and you used yourself up a little bit. We'll see what happens with this run and go from there.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Mark: 1 to go this time, Kyle. 1 to go.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Mark: Pace car's off.
Mark: Ready. Ready. Green, green, green.
**Note:** Jeff 12th; Kyle 32nd. Restart Lap 45
Mark: (Lap 52) Still there.
Mark: Hold onto it.
Mark: Go straight, go straight, go straight.
Mark: Caution's out. Caution's out. Got a little damage here, guys. Caution Lap 52: #45 hits the backstretch wall after contact with the #30.
Kyle: Sorry about that. When he came off he just ran down into me. Steering wheel is still in the same place. What does the hood like like?
Mark: We need to pull the nose out in front of the tire. The front of the nose is okay. It's just kind of flattened down and the RF's flat. The wheel looks okay. Just the tire's flat.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4. The steering wheel is still in the same place so just smash those fenders out and give as much as you can give me. We'll go from there. 10-4?
Greg: Yeah. 10-4, 10-4. We'll get right sides on it and get the fender pulled out as good as we can.
Kyle: Are they pitting this time?
Mark: 10-4. This time. Pit this time.
Mark: It's just in the RF, Greg. The back doesn't look like it has any marks on it.
Kyle: That's fine. Just do what you can. Change the tires.
Greg: 10-4. We'll get right sides on it here for sure. We'll come back and get left sides on it later. Get right sides on it and get right sides. Get the fender out so we don't cut the next one.
Mark: Pace car's in the middle of the backstretch.
Greg: Help them with the RF. Help them with the RF.
Mark: Pace car's in Turn 3.
Greg: Alright, let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Keep going up. Come back in and get left sides on it.
Pit Stop (Lap 53) Right side tires, RF repairs.
**Note:** (Lap 53) Jeff pitted. 4 tires, fuel. 15.59 seconds.
Mark: 4600, Kyle.
Greg: How long is this caution going to be? They're going to go here quick. We're going to have to get in here and get left sides this time and make sure the right sides get in there.
Mark: It's not going to last very long. Maybe a couple laps.
Mark: Pace car coming off of Turn 2.
Greg: Alright, here is guys. Get left sides on it. Just make sure your RF fenders are out good.
Kyle: Somebody make sure the RF is out. Is the RF out?
Greg: 10-4, 10-4. Go around the right side. Everyone make sure it looks good.
Greg: Alright, you're good.
Pit Stop (Lap 54) Left side tires, fuel. RF repairs.
Greg: Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead. RF looks okay.
Kyle: Alright, how many laps was this? See, the thing pushes up when the tires don't have a lot of pressure in them. It pushes to begin with. That's my fault. I shouldn't have been racing. I should have just been riding right there almost.
Greg: It doesn't push after the pressures build up is what you're saying?
Kyle: After the pressures built and we got into that longer run the car got neutral. The car got neutral. 10-4?
Greg: 10-4, 10-4. Gotcha on that.
Mark: The car looks pretty good, Kyle. It might be just a little tight, but it's not bad.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Mark: 1 to go here, Kyle. 1 to go.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Mark: Pace car's off.
Mark: Ready. Green, green, green.
**Note:** Jeff 16th; Kyle 35th. Restart Lap 57
MarK: (Lap 68) Leaders are running on top right now, Kyle.
Kyle: 10-4.
Mark: (Lap 77) Leader a straightway back.
Mark: (Lap 82) Leader off of Turn 2.
Mark: (Lap 87) Leader 2 car lengths back.
**Note:** (Lap 87) Kyle lapped under green into Turn 3.
Kyle: I guess it knocked the toe-in in or something. Most of it's sh**. In the middle; getting in and in the middle. 10-4?
Greg: 10-4, 10-4.
Greg: (Lap 94) That #14 is the front car a lap down. If we can stay ahead of him when we get a caution we'll be alright.
Mark: (Lap 117) Leader is 10 car lengths back.
Greg: Kyle, pit this next time. Pit this next time. 4 tires and add some bite and an air pressure adjustment. Get this fender pushed back in a little bit where it works better. Push that back in a little bit.
Mark: 4600, 46.
Greg: Here he is guys. Here he is. Right in here. Right in here. 4 tires. You go work under the fender. Just get it where it's not knocking all up there on back.
Pit Stop (Lap 118) 4 tires, fuel. 16.94 seconds.
Greg: Go, go, go, go, go hard. All the way out. All the way out. Nobody coming. All the way out.
Mark: You're clear, Kyle. All the way out.
**Note:** (Lap 128) Jeff pitted for 4 tires and fuel. 14.94 seconds.
Mark: Got a spin off of Turn 4. Spin off of Turn 4. Caution's out. Caution's out. Slow up. There you go. Caution Lap 131: #49, #48 get together in Turn 3. #48 hits Turn 4 wall and then hits inside Pit Road wall.
Greg: Did the wedge help it any all? The tire temperatures showed real loose there.
Kyle: Yeah, it seemed to help it, but new tires helped it, too, know what I mean? It's hard to say, but I want to stay out. Pit next time, 10-4?
Greg: Yeah, 10-4. We need to just get caught up here and run an our extra lap. We need to probably get that fender a little bit better guys. It's a little bit too far out and probably hurting him, you know, on the aero side of that and just put 4 tires on it.
Kyle: Yeah, 10-4. You guys did a good job though, man. Sorry about that. I just got up under him and it was my fault that I wrecked, but you guys did a good job working with it.
Mark: Pit road is going to be closed here for a few laps.
Greg: A little bit earlier you said your wheel was straight. Did it still look pretty straight then, Kyle?
Kyle: Yeah, the steering wheel is straight. The steering is straight. That's why I said if it did anything it maybe knocked a little bit of toe, but that seemed to be better right now. Whatever that was that seemed to be better.
Greg: 10-4. I'm going to give you another half-round of bite. We'll get that fender pushed in. We've got it pulled out, but it's a little bit too far and it's knocking everything off the right side. So we'll put 4 tires on it and just make sure we get the fender pushed in a little bit.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4. How many laps down are we? 3 or 4?
Greg: 3, 3. 3 right now.
Kyle: Is anybody else 3 laps down or 2 laps down?
Greg: Looks like after all this shook out, just you and the #14. Then there's a bunch of them 2 laps down, so, we're trying to stay on the tail end of that, but we just missed it there.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Greg: Just put your 4 tires on it and set the car on the ground then we'll run around and fix the fender while it's sitting on the ground so we can look at the RF tire. Put your 4 tires on it and we'll fix the fender when it's sitting flat.
Mark: Pits are going to be open this time, Kyle. We're going to have to wait 1 lap.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4. Did the #43 car get lapped?
Greg: 10-4, 10-4. They were sitting in the pits. They had just pitted.
Kyle: **his tone really disappointed** 10-4, 10-4.
Mark: Okay, Kyle. This time. 4600. We should have an opening in front. We'll have to go around the #25 and then the opening in front of us is open.
Greg: Right here. Right here. In front of the #25. 4 tires.
Greg: Alright. Get your tires. Get your fender there, Russ.
Mark: You've got plenty of time. Pace car is coming off of Turn 2.
Greg: Alright, there you go. You alright, Russ?
Greg: Alright. Go ahead, go ahead. Go ahead. Nobody's coming. All clear behind you. All clear.
Pit Stop: (Lap 136) 4 tires, fuel, half-round of bite, RF fender work.
**Note:** Jeff stayed out.
Mark: #30 behind you, Kyle, he's supposed to get his lap back. No telling what he'll do here. Outside.
Mark: 1 to go this time, Kyle. 1 to go.
Mark: Pace car's off.
Mark: Ready. Green, green, green. Restart Lap 140
Kyle: (Lap 151) How much did we move that RF fender? This b**ch is loose now. It was better on that other set of tires.
Kyle: It was good before. What's the difference now?
Greg: All we did was go down one pound on the left side air pressure and one round of wedge in it.
Kyle: Alright, well, it f-bombed it up. It was good before. Now it's f-bombed up.
Greg: 10-4. Go back on that, guys.
Kyle: Don't change air pressure. That's your penalty. It was damn good before. Now it's f-bombed up again.
Greg: 10-4, 10-4.
Kyle: (Lap 190) How long before we pit?
Greg: We can pit any time. That's 50 laps right now, that's 50 laps. We didn't drop air pressure last time. All we did was add wedge. Add wedge was all we did on our last stop.
Kyle: What did you do on the last stop?
Kyle: WHAT DID YOU DO ON THE LAST PIT STOP?
Greg: Put one round of wedge in the LR and adjusted the RF fender.
Kyle: What did you do to the air pressure?
Greg: That was on the green flag stop. Caution's out. Cautions' out. Caution Lap 194: #14 bounced off the Turn 1 wall.
Greg: The air pressure was done on the green flag. That was my fault. I said that at the wrong time. Air pressure was done on the green flag. All we did at the last caution was put one round in the LR and pushed in the RF fender.
Kyle: Well this thing is so f-bomb loose you can't drive it. Now the time before when we adjusted on tires, and went back out, it was good. It would hook up, it got in the corners good; everything was good. Just then, it's out of f-bomb control.
Kyle: What's the caution for?
Mark: #14 blew up.
Greg: Kyle, if you like it, what we can do is put some wedge in the RR and then lower the track bar some and that should tighten you everywhere. That should tighten everything up and I think we should leave the fender where it is.
Kyle: Can you move the fender a bunch for the way it was under green from where it is now?
Greg: How 'bout it, Russ? How much did you move the fender? Probably about 5 inches. 5 inches.
Kyle: Under green, UNDER GREEN, when we put on stickers it was better than it is now. So, wherever you moved it, that's why it's wrong. Something's wrong.
Greg: Alright. 10-4, 10-4. Pull that fender back out. Get it back out close to where you were there, guys. Get it back out close to what you think it was, Roger. Put 4 tires on it and get back over there and fix your fender back like what it was.
Mark: You want me to put anymore bite in with that, Kyle, or just fix the fender back?
Kyle: Yeah, put some bite in it, too. I don't know why it's loose. It was good one time and don't know why it's loose the next time. Put bite in it and make it anything but loose.
Greg: 10-4, 10-4. Right side air.
Greg: Here he is. 4 tires, guys. 4 tires. 1 round up in the RR.
Greg: Get it back out where it was. Back out where it was. Not any further.
Pit Stop (Lap 197) 4 tires, fuel.
Greg: Alright, there you go. Go, go, go, go. Nobody coming. All the way out.
**Note:** Jeff also pitted for 4 tires, fuel, rubber in LR. 21.03 seconds.
Mark: Kyle, going to be 1 to go this time.
Mark: Pace car's off.
Mark: Ready. Green, green, green. Restart Lap 200
Mark: Caution's out. Caution's out. We've got debris. Stay up high, here. Stay up high. There you go. Caution Lap 213: #88 loses an engine putting debris on the track.
Kyle: Alright, it's still loose. It still just goes in and unloads itself in the middle of the corner. So, evidently we had one good set of tires and everything else has been off a little bit since. It still needs to be tigherrrrrrr getting in and tighter up off right now.
Greg: 10-4, we'll put some more bite in it. Put 2 rounds in the LR.
Greg: 4 tires guys when we get caught up here. Run your extra lap and put 4 tires on it and 2 rounds in the LR.
Mark: Kyle, 4600. The #25 will be sitting there. You just need to go around him.
Greg: Stop right in here. Right ahead of the #25. 4 tires. 2 rounds in the LR. Go.
Pit Stop (Lap 215) 4 tires, fuel.
**Note:** Jeff also pitted for 4 tires, fuel. 14.01 seconds.
Greg: Alright. Go, go, go, go. All the way out. Nobody coming.
Mark: Kyle, 1 to go this time. 1 to go.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Mark: Those 2 cars behind you are for position.
Greg: No, we're on a lap of our own. We're on a lap of our own right now. We're Lap 214.
Mark: Pace car's off.
Mark: Ready. Ready. Green, green, green. Restart Lap 219
Kyle: (Lap 225) I'm coming in and see if...set a balance on this thing.
Kyle: Did you hear what I said?
Greg: 10-4. What did you lose? Tire stag build or oil?
Kyle: It seems it threw a belt off of it. It may have thrown the oil off.
Greg: Alright, guys, you gots your belts out here? And you guys, what you got here? Get the hood open and see what you got.
Crew: All the belts are gone.
Kyle: Okay, you got any you can put on it?
Crew: The balancer probably came off the front.
Kyle: Where are we going to, the truck?
Greg: Yeah, I guess. Just push him over by the tool box right this minute. Push him to the tool box and we'll look at it.
**Note:** (Lap 228) Georgia-Pacific crew pushes the #45 to the garage.
Crew: There's no bolts in the hole. It's way down in there.
Greg: Where's the motor man at?
Greg: The bolt broke off in front of the crank, Kyle. You can't get to it to get it back on there. Only way to get it is to drill it out.
Miss Patti climbs down from the box. Done for the day.
