**Engines started**
Greg: How 'bout it, John, you got a copy on me there?
John: 10-4. Gotcha real loud and clear.
Greg: How boutcha, Murf, you got us up there?
Murf: 10-4. I got both of you. Hear you real good.
Greg: Alright John, me and Murf talked about it. We're going to let him try and get that flag there because I can't see you guys when you guys take off over there and it's just sort of blind. So, he can see what's going on and get your flag there.
John: 10-4.
Greg: Ok, Murf, when he can hardly hear me with all the noise down here so just repeat something if I tell him.
Murf: 10-4. We'll do it.
Pace Laps:
Greg: Make sure you got your fans on already there, John. Remember those are new brakes so work them things just a little bit if you can there.
John: Looks like it's about 4300, 2nd gear.
Greg: 10-4, John. Hey how about Kyle guys? What's he saying there? He's there right behind that pace car.
Murf: 2 to go this time, John.
John: Kyle ever get pit road speed?
Greg: Kyle said his is about 47, John.
John: That's what we'll go off I think because he's right behind the pace car. Same gear. Same transmission.
Greg: 10-4, 10-4. That's what it should be according to the chart, too, 4700.
John: 10-4.
Murf: Yeah. 2 guys here beside of you; 1's 46, the other's 48.
Murf: 1 to go when you get here this time, John.
John: 10-4 on 1 to go.
Greg: 10-4. You've got that flag, Murf.
Murf: 10-4.
Murf: Alright, John, get ready. Pace car just pulled off. Get ready. Get ready. Green flag. Green flag.
Green flag:
**Note:** (Lap 8) Running 21st. All cars in single file.
**Note:** (Lap 20) #99 attempting the outside for many laps. John is good off the corners.
**Note:** (Lap 24) #36 LR down in Turns 1 and 2. No caution.
Murf: John they put the caution out for debris on the track.
Caution Lap 26: Debris from #36's down tire.
Greg: Ok, John, where are you? What kind of changes you need?
John: Car's okay. It's just that...no place to go.
Greg: Ok, 10-4. How's your temperatures there?
John: 220.
Greg: 10-4, 10-4. Let's just see what they do. If they come here then we're coming.
Murf: Nobody's coming.
Murf: Guys, here he comes. He's on pit road.
Greg: How many of them coming behind him there, Murf?
Murf: Pretty good bit of them. About all of them. Maybe 4 or 5 of them stayed out. Here he is. Here he comes.
Greg: Come on guys. Jump on in here, John. 4 tires, 4 tires. See if you can get a piece of tape, Kevin. Come on. Hurry up guys. 4 tires.
Pit Stop: (Lap 27) 4 tires, fuel. 13.88 seconds
Greg: Go hard. Go hard. Go hard. Go hard. Stay right with the #15. Stay right there, John. Stay right there. Right with the #21. Right there behind him. There you go. There you go.
Greg: I think a couple of those guys right there ahead of you, John, just got 2 tires right there.
John: 10-4.
Murf: 1 to go this time by, John.
John: Why aren't they holding the flag like...like they usually do?
Murf: Yeah. I meant to say 1 to go NEXT time by. Sorry about that.
Murf: Here comes the #1 and #26 right behind you there, John.
Murf: Caution car's off. Be ready. Green flag. Green flag.
Restart Lap 34
**Note** (Lap 36) #10 pinched us off HARD in Turn 2.
**Note** (Lap 42) Running 29th. Stuck behind the #10/#48 side by side.
**Note** (Lap 56) Passed the #10.
**Note** (Lap 47) #15 pinched us off HARD in Turn 2.
**Note** (Lap 49) Into turn 1, #15 into #30 directly in front of us.
**Note** (Lap 50) Turn 2. #15 into the #30 again. #15, John pass the #30.
Caution Lap 51: #99 tags the #21. #21 spins in Turn 4. Then #02 spins. #7 front end damage.
John: I thought they're running in the.... The caution light goes on and then it goes off.
John: If you get a caution, tighten it.
John: Can you try and tell me where? So that I can ummmm......I can still run so I don't get run over.
Murf: 10-4. I got ya. I see what you're saying.
Greg: Alright, John, you still okay out there?
John: Yeah, 10-4.
Greg: These guys are probably going to come this time. You want to come with them and try and get 2 tires here, John? That was about 17 laps on those left sides.
John: I don't know. What do you want to do here? Stay out and get track position or come in and get 2 tires?
Greg: We can stay out if you're driving good. Well just stay out, John.
John: I think some of them are going to stay out here. I would think anyway. We'll see if they all roll down, I'm going to roll down and get 2.
Greg: Ok. 10-4, 10-4. Be ready guys.
Murf: Nobody's come in. All the leaders stayed out.
Greg: Yeah, 10-4. Stay out. Stay out, John. Make sure we stay out.
John: Still coming. I'm coming.
Murf: He's on pit road guys. Here he comes.
Greg: Alright, come on guys. Just put right sides on it. Right sides.
Pit Stop: (Lap 53) Right side tires, fuel. 6.44 seconds.
Greg: Watch it. Go ahead, John. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead. Get that #17 there. You're clear.
John: That probably wasn't the best call. I thought all of them were going to come.
Greg: Yeah, 10-4. They're a bunch of idiots out there. It's going to be hard to get past most of them. Somehow we're going to have to figure out how to get...get a little bit of track position here when these guys...leaders pit, but it's going to be a little bit harder right now.
John: Yeah, I'm just trying to get enough feel as I can out of my tires so that when they do pit I don't have to pit again or I can do something different from them.
Greg: Yeah, 10-4.
John: But I should have stayed out that time. That was dumb. I lost about 5 or 6 spots here.
Greg: That's alright. We'll get it... A lot of these guys are looking loose off, John. A lot of them up off of 4 are sideways up off of 4. Or they're so tight they're snapping it loose, but I mean there's a lot of them that are starting to drive real bad.
John: Yeah, 10-4.
Murf: John it will be 1 to go this time when you get here.
John: 10-4.
Murf: Be sure to watch for those last handful of them coming up on the inside of 3.
Greg: That #26 is a weapon, John. He just holds up a whole line of them when they get to him.
John: Yeah, 10-4.
Murf: Pace car's off, John. Be ready. Be ready. Green flag. Green flag.
Restart Lap 57
**Note** (Lap 62) Right side all marked up passing the #26 3-wide on the front stretch.
Murf: Car is stopped over in the middle of Turns 1 and 2.
Caution Lap 72: #29 spins in Turn 2 after getting tagged/pinched by the #4.
Murf: Alright he got it rolling. He's gone.
John: They're going to have to pit now and I'm not gonna. Right?
Greg: What's that, John?
Greg: What did you say there, John?
John: They're going to have to pit and I'm not gonna.
Greg: Yeah we can stay out there, John. How many laps is that there Nancy?
Greg: Yeah, 10-4. We can stay out there, John. We can stay out there right now if you want to.
John: I'll do what the #99 does.
Greg: If they were to come we've only got 15 laps on the right sides, John, we got 30 on the lefts. We might ought to put some lefts on it if they all come.
John: Yeah, 10-4. If they come and the #99 comes I'm going to come and we'll just do lefts.
Greg: 10-4, 10-4. If not we're just going to stay out there.
John: 10-4. 2 options.
Pit Stops (Lap 74) We stayed out!
John: How's the RR where Kimmel hit me?
Greg: That RR fender look okay, Murf?
Murf: Yeah the fender's all tore up, but I don't see any smoke or anything on there. He didn't do anything but hit it.
Greg: It look good, Murf, when he went by slow there?
Murf: Fender's not rubbing.
Greg: Your water temperature come down any, John?
John: Yeah a little bit. Now about 210.
Greg: 10-4. That will be fine there.
Greg: What's the car doing right there, John? Are we going to need to help it any at all or are you just fighting the traffic more than anything?
John: Mostly just fighting traffic right now it's just a little bit tight in the center. Ummm...more so with these tires than I was before. So I figure it's just the new rights and the old lefts.
Greg: 10-4, 10-4. If we get a long enough run here about 60 or 70 laps maybe everybody will pit and we can get 4 tires on there and get you back in sequence.
Murf: 1 to go when you get here this time, John.
John: 10-4.
Murf: Pace car's off. Be ready. Be ready. Green flag. Green flag.
Restart Lap 80
John: Can't we get him get behind us?
John: **Bleep**ing....he's the biggest **bleep**ing idiot than the guy who used to drive it.
Murf: Caution is out. Spin down in Turns 1 and 2.
Caution Lap 100: LR down on #41. Spins in Turns 1 and 2.
Greg: Alright, John, we probably have to come in here and probably get tires. We've got 50 laps on those right sides there. Little bit more than that on left sides. Those other guys are probably going to stay out so do what that #99 does there, John, but I'm sure we'll to have to come.
John: Okay, 10-4. We'll do that.
Murf: Pit road's closed.
John: 10-4.
Greg: #99 can't decide whether or what to stay out or come in. The #25, they've got their stuff up. Looks like they're coming, John.
John: Yeah. We don't need to screw ourselves, I guess, one way or the other, but I guess we'll pit.
Greg: Yeah, that's a bunch of laps on those tires. If we had to stay green it probably hurt us a little bit there. We'll come in here.
Murf: He's on pit road guys. Here he comes.
Greg: Stop in here. Guys, come on. 4 tires, guys. 4 tires. Quick.
Pit Stop: (Lap 102) 4 tires, fuel. 13.16 seconds.
Greg: Go hard. Clear behind you.
John: I can't believe that #4 stayed out because he's terrible.
Greg: Yeah I don't know whether they think they're just going to run, you know, fuel and hope they can pit with the leaders. I don't know what they're doing. We aren't going to worry about them too much.
John: 10-4.
Greg: You got Burton worried while you pitted there. ....told him **laughs** the 1999 race strategy.
John: Yeah.
John: Is it 1 to go or what?
Greg: They're showing it here.
Murf: 1 to go this time, John.
Murf: Be ready. Be ready. Green flag. Green flag.
Restart Lap 107
**Note:** (Lap 118) Squirrelly loose off Turn 2. Lost the #88 and fell back to the #22.
John: (Lap 145) Just a little bit of wheel spin up off.
Murf: Did you catch that Greg? Whoa...watch that car right there in front of you. Keep digging.
**Note:** (Lap 145) #21 spins in Turn 4. No caution.
Murf: No caution.
Murf: Did you hear what he said Greg?
Greg: 10-4, 10-4.
John: The brakes are like they're glazed over. Any suggestions?
Greg: You got some fresh air there. That might help cool them off a little bit.
John: 10-4.
Greg: (Lap 160) You and that #88 are good cars, John. Just stick with him there so you can get through that traffic if you can.
**Note:** Greg isn't kidding. The car was simply awesome. John could pass high, low, wherever he needed to drive it, he did it. By my count I had him up to 15th.
**Note:** (Lap 165) #31 runs very high in Turns 1 and 2. Tire down. No caution.
Murf: Spin in the middle of Turn 2.
Caution Lap 169: #11 stops in Turn 2. Tire down.
Greg: Alright guys. 4 tires here. We're going to drop those rear tires about a half a pound, John.
John: 10-4.
Greg: That #20 car...he was a good car there. He was the leader. He was about a half a lap behind you guys. You and the #88 were pushing in there. Of course we had newer tires than a lot of those guys.
Greg: We have an open stall ahead of us here guys so we'll have a clear path out. 4 tires guys. How's your temperatures, John?
John: 200.
John: You know the track's building up like it used to surprising enough.
Greg: 10-4. It's hot enough to get the rubber down there.
Murf: Pit road's open and there's a bunch of them...looks like they're gonna come.
Murf: Alright guys he's on pit road.
Greg: Bring it down here, John. Over here ahead of the #99. Right here. 4 tires, guys. 4 tires.
Pit Stop: (Lap 171) 4 tires, fuel. 14.69 seconds.
Greg: Go hard, go hard, go hard, go hard. All the way out, John. All the way out. All the way out.
Greg: Good job guys.
**Note**: Maintained 15th position.
Greg: We ever get that good long 150-lap run, John, I believe you can lap them, there. I mean about 60 laps, 70 laps, them guys just go terrible. I mean they're just stopping.
John: Yeah. You gotta know that they're going to adjust on their **bleep*, though.
Greg: Yeah, 10-4.
Murf: It will be 1 to go next time by when you get here, John.
John: 10-4 on 1 to go.
Murf: Here come the lap down cars, John. Be ready.
Murf: Pace car's off. Be ready. Be ready. Green flag. Green flag.
Restart Lap 179
John: I'm bringing it in. That's it.
Caution Lap 209: John loses the engine. #31, #26 spin in John's oil in Turn 3. The #41, #24 get together. #24 cuts a LF down.
John: It sure gave up the ghost.
Murf: Greg, when he gets around.
Greg: 10-4, 10-4. What it do, John, blow the bottom end out of it?
John: Oh yeah. I mean no sign, no...anything. Just BOOM. Sorry about that, guys.
Greg: Alright. You guys did a good job. You had a good car there, John. Drove it good. We'll get 'em next week, here. Let's get this stuff packed up and head it back toward the garage here.
John: I parked it here in case NASCAR wants to put it up on something because it's going to have a lot of oil underneath it. I tried to make it to pit road, but I was afraid I was going to hit the pit road wall if I tried going down.
Greg: Yeah, 10-4.
Greg: You've got a truck right behind you there, John.
Greg: You can come back over here, Murf, I'll double check it just to make sure, but I'm sure that's it.
Murf: 10-4, I'm headed that way. I don't know. I might get....hold on.
Greg: It's not leaking anything right now there, Robby? Take a look at it.
Robby: Greg, I'm going to tear everything down unless you say differently.
Crew: It's done.
Crew: There's a big hole on the side the block.
Greg: You got all your equipment out of there? Your transponders and all that stuff. Make sure we get that to NASCAR.
Crew: It's done.

**joining our other team still on the lead lap**

Kyle: Hey Steve. She's a little hotter than she's been all year. We may need to put a layer of insulation around it before we run it again.
Steve: 10-4.
Kyle: Live and learn. Live and learn.
Steve: I would say that stuff would make you tough, but I know that would just **bleep** you off.
Marty: They're on pit road.
Marty: 5 away.
Marty: Pace car's in Turn 3.
Pit Stop: (Lap 213) 4 tires, fuel.
**Note:** Kyle is in Pit# 27. Behind the #17. Ahead of the #40.
Steve: We're okay, man. There's only 24 cars on the lead lap and we're the last car on the lead lap.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Marty: Hey bud, it's going to be a couple more laps if you want to do anything else.
Steve: Yeah, 10-4. Like I said if that don't pull you down, KP, we're the last car on the lead lap, man. We'll come back in, we'll give you what you got to have, now.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Steve: KP, there's a hose that are going to the ignition boxes. I don't know if you can reach it or not, but if you can pull it over there to you it might not blow that layer of air on your lap.
Kyle: No, no. I'm fine. I'm fine, man. I'd rather the ignition boxes be cool right now. I don't want them to start cutting out, man.
Steve: 10-4, man. 10-4.
Kyle: We're okay. We just...the feet up under. We just didn't put enough insulation up under the thing. Trans fired up through it a little bit.
Kyle: It had a life before we electricuted the seat there at the shop the other day.
Steve: **laughs** I gotcha, 10-4.
Kyle: What happened to John's car? What happened to John's car?
Steve: Hold on just a minute. I'm not sure.
Robin: I'll get with you in a second. Looks like a rod out the bottom.
Kyle: Yeah, better question what it was. Looks like gear lube. Looks like gear lube or a transmission. That's what I'm looking at on the race track.
Robin: Knocked a hole out of the block...engine.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Kyle: What temperature did they run during the race? What temperature did they run just so I know.
Robin: Hang on. I'll get with you.
Marty: Okay, it will be 1 to go when you get back around.
Kyle: Okay. Here's the deal, Steve. Everything we've done so far has made it tighter in the middle, but not helped it, ummm, helped it a little up off, but it's hard to tell because you're stopping in the middle of the corner so everything's helping it up off right now. Heat just fell back in it, but it's still rolling free into the center.
Steve: 10-4. Like I said the only other thing I know to do if that wedge don't help it and we can keep working air pressure and can raise that track bar. So just think about it.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Marty: Alright, man, let's get the belts good and tight and get ready to go.
?????: There are a lot of lap cars so got to have a good eye here.
Marty: Pace car in.
Kyle: What's wrong with the #24?
Marty: Turn 4. Green, green, green.
Restart Lap 223
Kyle: (Lap 232) It's a lot better right now. A lot better.
Steve: 10-4.
Marty: Blowing up in front of you. Back it down. Back it down. All kinds of oil.
Marty: Still green. Caution is out. Caution is out.
Marty: You need to back her down. Need to back her down.
Caution Lap 253: #24 loses the power steering line and left tires down.
Kyle: Try to scream "caution" when the caution comes out.
Steve: Okay you said the car's a little better. What do we need to do to it to make it..**interference**? Do we need to raise that track bar?
Kyle: Sorry about that, my ear plug's come undone. My ear plug's come undone.
Kyle: We're back here at the back. It wasn't bad. Raise it just a touch. Raise it about a 1/4 of an inch and somebody jump in here and tape, let's pit 2 & 2, but somebody jump in here and tape my earplugs back in so they don't come out.
Steve: 10-4.
Kyle: Pull out the RF fender. I got all over Stacy getting into Turn 1 that lap whenever something happened to the #24.
Steve: Can you hear me now?
Kyle: Yeah. I got you. I got you. Raise the track bar a 1/4 round, or a 1/4", raise the track bar a 1/4" and get somebody to dive in the right side and just put a piece of tape on the ear plugs, 10-4?
Steve: 10-4.
Marty: Okay, pit road is open.
Kyle: Keep the gas man back on this deal and somebody hand him a piece of tape. Somebody just go in and put the tape in.
Steve: Track bar up 2 on the right side. Track bar up 2.
Marty: On pit road.
Marty: Pit right in front of the 40.
Marty: 5 away in front of the 40.
Pit Stop (Lap 255) Right side tires, tape the ear plugs 8.94 seconds.
Marty: Outside, outside. The #15, outside.
Marty: Yeah, get up in front of that #12, Kyle. He's smoking pretty bad.
Kyle: Alright is the RF pulled out?
Steve: 10-4, the RF's good. It's not rubbing.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Kyle: Alright, here we come and get left sides, right?
Steve: 10-4. We're going to come in and get left sides. Be careful on pit road because there's some oil and stuff down pit road now.
Kyle: Where's the pace car?
Marty: Start/Finish.
Marty: On pit road. Here he comes.
Marty: Okay, be 3 stalls in front of the #11. 3 stalls in front of the #11.
Pit Stop (Lap 257) Left side tires, fuel. 7.66 seconds.
**Note:** #12 finally blew up. Had been smoking for quite awhile.
Marty: Pit road is closed. Pit road is closed.
Marty: Kyle did you not hear me last time when I said the caution was out or was it because your ear plugs fell out?
Kyle: Ear plugs fell out. Not your fault, Marty. Not your fault.
Marty: Alright man, 10-4. Just checking.
Kyle: What temperature was John running? Did anybody ever find out what temperature the #43 car was running?
Robin: 210, 210.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4. We're running about 195, running about 195. Turning about 9000, about 9000. All temperatures been running about 130-135.
Robin: Yeah, 10-4. The #43 car were in good shape. I think they broke a rod or something.
Kyle: Yeah. 10-4, 10-4. I was just checking to see if water temperature or anything had something to do with it.
Robin: 10-4.
Kyle: I got an idea with these ear plugs. We need to move the plug into the center of the helmet. Get it off the side. Like we had it a few times last year. The way this place sways your head around it's rubbing on it so we just need to move all the plugs around to the front.
Steve: Yeah, 10-4.
Marty: Okay, next time by they're going to bring you down pit road. The whole field.
Kyle: I was just getting ready to say, "They need to either sweep pit road or bring us down pit road" because it's going to be slick if you've got to make a green flag stop.
Marty: Okay pit road is open.
Marty: 1 to go when you go back around. 1 to go.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4. Who do I line up behind? #14 up there?
Kyle: Is the #88 car on the lead lap?
Robin: 10-4, the #88's on the lead lap.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Robin: #14, #88, #45.
Marty: Pace car in.
Marty: Green, green, green.
Restart Lap 268
Kyle: Where's the #33, or #36? Where's he at?
Kyle: **a little aggravated** WHERE's THE #36 CAR AT?
Marty: #36 car is on pit road. Flat tire. Clear all around.
Marty: Caution's out. Turn 4. Car up top, clear on the bottom. Clear on the bottom.
Caution Lap 325: #36 stopped in Turn 4.
Steve: Did the track bar and air pressure seem to help it?
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4. Just a little bit. Just a little bit. It's not bad. It's not terrible right now. It's pretty decent.
Steve: 10-4. Let's go ahead and get caught up the best we can. If those guys in front of you pit, which I think they will, we'll come down with them. If they don't, **interference** we haven't run, but, 60 laps.
Kyle: Do what, now?
Steve: I said, "Go ahead and get caught up. Those guys in front of you, the leaders, we're going to come in with them. If they don't we're going to stay out. We haven't run, but 60 laps."
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4. Give me 2 ice packs, 2 ice packs.
Marty: Pit road's closed.
Marty: Remember when you come down pit road, if you do, it might be slick down there so......
Marty: Pit road's open.
Marty: All the leaders are pitting. All the leaders are pitting.
Steve: 10-4. Here we come. 4 tires guys.
Marty: He's on pit road. It's the #99, the #23, then us. #99, #23, then us.
Marty: Pit right in front of the #40, behind the #17.
Marty: 5 away.
Pit Stop (Lap 326) 4 tires, fuel. 13.88 seconds.
Marty: Pace car's half way down the back.
Marty: It will be 1 to go next time around. 1 to go.
Marty: Lap cars coming to your inside.
Marty: Okay, man, Let's get the belts tight. Get ready to go.
Marty: Pace car in.
Marty: Middle of 3 and 4. Get ready. Get ready. Green, green, green.
Restart Lap 331
Kyle: Get the #1 out of the way.
Marty: Hey, see if you can talk to them from over there. Their spotter is at the other end of the roof here.
Steve: 10-4.
**Note:** (Lap 345) Kyle hit the #1 out of the way coming out of Turn 2. Lost 2 spots to the #99, #15.
Marty: Slow car on the bottom. The black #90. Smoking.
Kyle: He's putting oil on the race track. He's putting oil on the race track.
Marty: 10-4 on the oil.
Kyle: Isn't any on the race track, but on the windshield
Marty: Spin in 2. Clear on the bottom. Caution is out. Clear on the bottom.
Caution Lap 366: #02 spins in Turn 2.
Steve: Okay, man, as soon as you get caught up we're going to have to stop for 4 tires. You've got a fender rubbing pretty bad on the LF. We're going to have to stop.
Kyle: 10-4, that's fine. That's fine, man.
Steve: Like I said, just go ahead and get caught up the best you can. I'm thinking about putting that Set #14 on. You know we talked about it. It's got a mixed up set of codes, but it might be alright. What do you think?
Kyle: Yeah that's alright. How many laps are....is that all we got left mixed up codes?
Steve: We're going to have 136 laps left, but like I said that's Set stamped #14, you know, that set we scuffed in?
Kyle: Yeah, man they were good, though, even though they were all mixed up I hate to use them with 130 to go because there's been a caution every 50 or 60.
Steve: Okay, 10-4. Let's just go ahead and come on in and we'll just put you 4 tires on and we'll leave that scuffed set 'til last.
Kyle: Yeah, 10-4. 10-4. Give me something to drink and something to poor on myself.
Steve: 10-4. Like I said, stay caught up the best you can. I know it's tough the way the guys are doing, but stay caught up.
Marty: Just so you know the RR quarter panel is bowed out behind the RR wheel, but it doesn't look like it's rubbing anything. Pit road is open.
Kyle: How many cars on the lead lap are behind us?
Marty: 3.
Marty: On pit road. See the #15, the #10, then us. #15, #10, then us.
Marty: Steve, take it in front of the #40.
Marty: Pace cars's just halfway down the back.
Pit Stop (Lap 368) 4 tires, fuel. 14.28 seconds.
Kyle: Good stop, man. Good stop.
Steve: 10-4.
Marty: Hey, looking from up here that looks like the best you've been all day.
Kyle: Yeah, 10-4. 10-4. Trying to stay off the brakes. The brakes were getting a little soft right there.
Kyle: Get everything pulled out?
Steve: 10-4. The LF's out real good now so you shouldn't have any problems.
Marty: It will be 1 to go when you get back around.
Marty: Okay man, let's get the belts good and tight. Let's get ready to go.
Kyle: I thought the #1 car was a lap down. That's my fault, man. I thought he was a lap down. That's my fault.
Marty: Pace car's in the middle of 3 and 4.
Marty: Turn 4. Get ready. Green, green, green.
Restart Lap 373
Marty: Spin in Turn 4. Still green. Caution is out. Clear on the bottom when you get to Turn 4.
Caution Lap 405: #41 spins in Turn 4. #32 hits the #41.
Steve: How's the chassis now?
Kyle: It's okay. It's okay. It's still just a touch tight in the middle. A touch tight in the middle. 10-4?
Steve: 10-4. I don't think you'll see any of the leaders come down pit road. *interference* Like I said, let him know what the leaders are doing, Marty, and if they pit, we'll pit with them. If they don't, stay out.
Marty: 10-4.
Robin: How many cars are behind you on the lead lap, Steve, because if they stay out you might want to come put some fresh tires on it with less than 100 to go.
Steve: Yeah, you're probably right, Robin. Looks like there's only 4 behind us.
Kyle: Alright, if there's 4 behind us let's just pit.
Steve: 10-4 and like I said there's only going to be about 90 laps left to go. What do you think about putting that set we talked about on there?
Kyle: Yeah, 10-4. That's fine. Why don't you switch to that other radio. Switch to that other radio.
Steve: Can you hear me now?
Kyle: 10-4. I got you. So let's go ahead and stop, put 4 tires on it. We'll put that last set on. We'll try to make that our last stop of the day.
Steve: 10-4, 10-4.
Marty: Pit road's open. Everybody's pitting. Everybody's pitting.
Marty: Ok guys. You'll see #15, the #23, then us. The #15, #23, then us.
Marty: 10 away. In front of the 40 #again. 5 away.
Pit Stop (Lap 407) 4 tires, fuel. 16.59 seconds.
Marty: You know a couple of them that came out ahead of you took 2.
Steve: 10-4.
Kyle: Robin, you got a copy?
Robin: 10-4.
Kyle: Yeah I was kind of thinking the same thing. I figured that be everybody's last time because the way everybody's talking, you know, once they get within 100, it's going to make that their last one.
Robin: Yeah, 10-4.
Kyle: Are we the last car on the lead lap?
Steve: Come back on that. The what car?
Kyle: Are we the last car on the lead lap?
Steve: 10-4, 10-4.
Kyle: Alright, I'm going to come down pit road. Give me an ice pack.
Steve: 10-4.
Marty: Okay, we're on 1 to go when we get back to the stripe.
Kyle: Nevermind. Nevermind.
Marty: Yeah, the #2 car will be the last car on the lead lap. He's going to be coming up behind you, the #2 car.
Marty: Alright man, let's get the belts good and tight. Let's get ready to go.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4. #2 car have trouble or what?
Marty: Yeah, fender damage when he came out of the pits there. Looks like he got it fixed. Alright, Turn 4. Let's get ready. Get ready. Green, green, green.
Restart Lap 412
**Note:** #4 spins in Turns 1 and 2. No caution.
Marty: Right there in front of you, man. Clear on the bottom. Clear on the bottom. Clear all around. Still green. Still green. Caution is out. Caution's out.
Caution Lap 444: #10 spins in Turn 4 helped by the #14.
Steve: You got a copy on us KP?
Kyle: Yeah, 10-4. 10-4.
Steve: You need to go ahead and stay out. Did that adjustment help your chassis a litte bit?
Kyle: Yeah, 10-4. 10-4. We're as good as we're going to be right here. You know, we just kind of got to wait for these guys to kind of come to us a little bit and get as many as we can.
Steve: 10-4. We're 18th right now. You're doing a good job, man. Like I said before let's just stay out.
Steve: By the time this thing goes green there will be somewhere like 50, 51 laps left.
Kyle: Yeah, 10-4. 10-4.
Marty: With about 4 cautions to go.
Robin: Hey Steve, you there?
Steve: 10-4, Robin, go ahead.
Robin: When this thing gets doubled up in the traffic and when he gets racing, just let him know and let Marty know who's lap traffic so you can get the lap cars out of the way. That way he isn't wasting his time trying to race those guys who are a lap down, okay? Just keep him informed.
Steve: 10-4. The way it looks right now when this thing goes green, the #2 car will be in front of us, #22 will be ahead of him and the #20 car will be behind him, 10-4?
Robin: Yeah, 10-4. 10-4.
Steve: Marty, do you have any kind of monitor up there?
Marty: Having which way? You mean a scoring monitor pole?
Steve: No, I just meant a monitor that we look at so that you could tell him who he's racing with.
Marty: Nah. The only thing we got is the leader board here which is 5 positions.
Steve: 10-4. I'll do it. Like I said I just don't want to walk on you, but I'll do it.
Marty: That'll be fine.
Marty: Okay, we're on 1 to go.
Marty: Okay, man, let's the get belts good and tight. Let's get ready to go.
Marty: Middle of 3 and 4.
Marty: Turn 4. Green, green, green.
Restart Lap 450
Kyle: Is the #21 laps down? Tell him to get out of the way.
Kyle: Okay, look. Marty you got to help me, man. You got to help me.
Marty: I hear you, man, but he's at the other end of the building.
Marty: Looking inside, inside.
Kyle: Inside my **bleep**. I'm on the **bleep**ing yellow line.
Kyle: These tires are killing us.
Steve: 10-4.
Marty: Caution's out. Turn 2.
Caution Lap 475: #32, #41.
Steve: Okay. Let's get you caught up and head to pit road and we'll put you 4 tires on.
Kyle: Yeah, 10-4. 10-4. This set is not, not good. Not good.
Steve: 10-4.
Kyle: Give me a water to dump on myself.
Steve: 10-4.
Marty: Okay. Pit road will be open this time.
Steve: Hey man, get caught up the best you can. Keep me posted on the #6 car, Marty.
Marty: 10-4.
Steve: There isn't any reason to wait until the pace car's in 3 and 4. Let's come back for 2. We'll get 2 more after that.
Marty: 10 away.
Pit Stop (Lap 478) 2 tires.
Marty: Pace car's heading down the back.
Steve: Only doing 2, KP.
Kyle: Go! Go!
Marty: You're alright. Come on.
Marty: Okay, guys. Be ready. Here he comes.
Marty: He's on pit road. #32, #14, then us.
Marty: 5 away.
Pit Stop (Lap 479) 2 tires, fuel.
Marty: Okay, we're on 1 to go.
Kyle: Where are they at?
Marty: Just going into 1. Stand on it.
Marty: The end of the field is just going into 1.
Marty: Let's get the belts good and tight. Let's get ready.
Marty: Coming out of 4. Green, green, green.
Restart Lap 481
Kyle: **Bleep**ing lap cars.
Kyle: Tell the #31's spotter to get out of the way.
Marty: 10-4.
Marty: You got a spin in the middle of 3 and 4. Clear on the bottom. Clear on the bottom. Clear on the bottom. Caution is out. Caution is out.
Caution Lap 486: #44 spins in Turns 3 and 4.. Hit by #55.
Kyle: Alright, how many laps are left?
Steve: 15 right now. There will be about 12 or 10 by the time they go back green.
Marty: We'll be in good shape because that's the 10-lap rule. We'll be in good shape.
Steve: Marty, is the #10 car coming down pit road?
Marty: No, no. He's not coming.
Steve: Yeah I didn't know if he's going to come. If he don't come we line up behind the #10 car.
Kyle: Yeah, 10-4. 10-4. What position we in?
Steve: 20th.
Kyle: Looks like the #2 and the #10's coming.
Steve: 10-4. That will put us behind the #23 car.
Kyle: 10-4. The #55 just blew a hose or something off it. It's throwing water all over the race track in 3 and 4. Putting water all over the race track.
Marty: Hey, tell a NASCAR official down there it's the #55 car because they're trying to figure out who it is who is laying that water down.
Kyle: It's the #55. If you look at his hood it blew out between the hood. He's not..he's thrown the radiator back into it.
Steve: 10-4, 10-4.
Marty: 10-lap rule, so we'll all be starting single file when they restart it.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4.
Steve: Okay, man, when this thing goes green we're 18th right now. They got the #23 in front of you, then you, then the #2 car behind you. The #2 car didn't come down pit road. Same tires on it so you know.
Kyle: Yeah, 10-4, 10-4.
Marty: Is it the only other car we're racing behind us for the lead lap is the #10. Is that right?
Steve: Behind us will be the #2, the #14 and the #10.
Marty: Alright, 10-4.
Marty: Okay, we're coming to the green, coming to the green.
Marty: Pass on the right before you get to the stripe. Leader in the middle of 3 & 4.
Marty: Turn 4. Be ready. Green, green, green.
Restart Lap 493
Marty: Looking outside. Outside. On the corner is the #10. Outside.
Kyle: Who is that?
Steve: The #10.
Marty: Checking up in front of you.
Marty: Clear on the bottom. Clear on the bottom.
Marty: Caution's out, Kyle. Get it going.
Caution Lap 498: #55, #77, #19. #45.
Marty: You've got a flat RR.
Steve: Yeah, 10-4. Don't come in if it end's under caution.
Kyle: Alright. I beat the #15 back to the, **oops LOL** the #18 back to the line didn't I?
Marty: 10-4. You did beat him. You did beat him.
Steve: Make sure you stay out. Just keep coming on around. Take the checkers.
Kyle: 10-4, man. I'm trying. I'm trying, buddy.
Checkered flag

Marty: Kyle, man, you did all you could do. Good job.
Kyle: Ya'll did good man. We just got caught at the wrong place right there.
Kyle: Where did we end up?
Steve: 20th.
Kyle: Alright, we're getting good at 20th. That's alright though, man. You guys did good. You guys did good.
Marty: Good job, man. We even ended up on the lead lap.
Kyle: 10-4, 10-4. **pause** 10-4.
