I might be running my car this weekend. I don't really want to but this guy in a 95 wants to run me. He's ran a best of a 14.6. I should beat him. Regardless of what the outcome is, I'm getting some headers and maybe an h-pipe soon. I should be running low 14's with that. I'm also buying some pony 5-stars from a friend on mine. I'll have more pics up when I get them on.

Well I was wrong about being in the low 14's with the h-pipe and headers. As it turns out, I'm in the low 14's now. I didn't get to run the guy with the 95 face to face but I did beat his best time by 3 tenth's. Believe it or not I pulled a 14.23. It was the craziest thing. I really thought the 14.4 about a month or so ago was a fluke but I guess it wasn't. I backed up the 14.2 with a 14.3 on my last run. I also pulled a .5002 light, but that didn't matter cause that run sucked. Check out my timeslip page to see the new timeslips. I had by best ET, RT, and 60-foot time ever last Friday.

Well, I've been pretty lazy lately and haven't updated the page very often. Nothing big is going on in the world of Dann's Mustang. I'm looking to buy a new car soon. I do plan on keeping the 88 without a doubt. Most likely I'll buy another Mustang. I plan on fixing up the 88, not really beasting it up, just making it look pretty again. I'll have more detail as to what I do when I start. The new pics should be taken soon as it gets warm and I can actually spend some time cleaning my car. Anyway, check out my past news with the link below if you haven't read them yet. Later

I took some new pics of my car this past weekend. As you can see above, one of them is up. The rest will be up shortly, thanks for stopping by...

New pics are up...

August, 4, 1998

I'm starting to look into a new car. I pretty much have it narrowed down to a 94-95 Mustang GT or maybe a 98 1/2 Contour SVT!!!!

August 29,1998

I bought another car last night. I didn't get a 94-95 Gt or a Contour. I decided I might as well buy a new one... I got a Dark Green Satin Metallic Clear Coat 98 Mustang GT with tan leather interior... I'll have more info up soon.. I'm working on getting some pics up. Soon this will be Dann's 88 LX 5.0 and 98 GT 4.6 page...!! 20 years old, with 2 Mustangs that I bought and pay (and am paying) for... I love it!!

Again, its been awhile since I updated the page. For about the last 5 months I haven't done anything pertaining to my cars. The 88 was out of commission for awhile and now that it is getting warm I decided to get back into it. I got the 88 running right again. Me and my best friend have decided to devote some time to our cars (he has a 96 3.8l Mustang) We changed the fuel filter on my 88 and cleaned the idle air bypass and its pretty much back to its old form, considering it now has 102,000 miles. I went to the track tonight and actually ran what I expected to run. I ran a best of a 14.5. Thats 3 tenths and about 1.5mph off my best but considering the amount of time its been sitting, I can accept it. It still has a few bugs to work out, I'm going to give it a fresh tune and I am ordering some BBK equal lengths and an off-road h-pipe on Monday. My goal right now is to get it into the 13's. If I can get it back to 14.2 form before adding the h-pipe and headers, I may get there... Check out the timeslip page for detailed times... There was a 99GT up at the track. It was automatic and I was real interested in what it ran. I thought about trading in my 98 on a 99, but did not do it. It's very possible I will do it when the 2000's come out. But anyway, it ran a 15.1. That was pretty disapointing, I had read they ran low 14's even with AOD-E. It was only one run though, it could have been a bad one... I know I've had my share of those. later...

May 21, 1999

I'm going to the track tonight again. I'm not going to run my car this time. My friend in his 3.8 is running. He just got some pulleys installed and he wants to see if that did anything. We are betting the price of admission that he doesn't get into the 15's. His best time is 16.03. I lent him some money last night to go purchase a used 8.8 rear with 373's already installed. That should be in within the next few weeks. He needs to get a chip first to remove his speed limiter... I've been told that his top speed will somewhere around 85MPH with the 373's.

As for my car, I put in an order with Summit for some March pulleys. They came in yesterday and I should be getting them put on during next week. I also ordered my equal length BBK headers (w/ Jet Hot) and a BBK off road H-pipe. They shipped out ground from California on Tuesday. I expect to see them sometime next week. If so, they'll be going on next weekend. I'm not sure whats next after they go on. I guess I'll just have to see how the install and gains in performance go with those parts. Later...

May 25,1999

My headers arrived today, BBK Part # 15300. One piece flange 1 5/8 equal lengths with Jet-Hot coating. I'm off work on Monday so they'll go on then. I ordered them from Brother's Performance Warehouse since Summit or Jegs didn't have them. I also ordered the h-pipe from Brothers and I just found out today that it was on backorder. I only found that out because it didn't arrive. I wasn't real happy with that. I called Summit and they had the h-pipe in stock (BBK-1507), so I cancelled that part of the order with Brothers. Summit has free shipping and it will be here on Thursday. Brothers charges $ 30 shipping and handling to ship ground from California which takes 5 days. Thats terrible. I'd much rather order from Summit.

Kevin ran consistent 16.1's this past weekend in his 3.8. He didn't beat his best time but he never ran consistent 16.1's like that before so I'm encouraged. The Centerforce, 8.8 with 3.73's and Superchip to kill his speed limiter will be in his car by Friday. We'll be going to the track again. If all goes well, my exhaust and pulleys should be in by next friday and I can hit the track again...

The headers are on, it took two days. It was a bitch... I have the details of this new entry on my pc at work. I will change this on Monday...

Due to some stupidity on my part I have to redo this web page. I someone lost my html code while trying to make a page with pics of my 98GT. I am working on getting this page back up right now. Please check back soon for the not really new and maybe slightly improved version of this page!! Thanks!

July 5th, 1999

Alright, well the page is more or less back to its old form. I'll be making some changes in the next few days. I'm now in the process of putting some pics up of my 98GT. The link to that page is below, check it out. Thanks for stopping by.

I got the car back from the shop today. They fixed the leaks and the car is up and running. I finally got to drive it today. It sounds nasty as shit... I'm real impressed with that. Now I just have to see how it runs. Its kinda hard to tell by driving it around since all the power is up top but I can feel a difference. The mystery of the gears was also solved today. The mechanic who worked on my car spun my driveshaft and it spun about 4.3 times for one rotation of the tire.. That would mean I have 4.30 gears. I wasnt there to witness it but my friend Kevin was. I knew I probably had at least 3.73's but 4.30's is getting a little wild. Thats cool though.

Kevin has his clutch and superchip in his 3.8L. He only got one run at the track last week and ran the same mph he normally ran. The only thing with it is that he had to let off the gas at the start because he was spinning so much. The order for the 8.8 with 3.73's was put in tonight. It should be in next week and he is having an off road h-pipe custom made on Wednesday..

June 7 1999

I went to the track last night. I didn't run my car since I want to change the plugs, clean my air filter and stuff like that first. I want to be sure its running right. There was a 99 Cobra there. It pulled a 14.3 @ 99.x with a 2.4 60 ft. A little traction and it should probably get into the 13's.

Kevin ran his car last night and finally got his 3.8 into the 15's. He ran 2 15.97's and a 15.92. He picked up a little over a MPH over his best as well. He got a custom off road h-pipe put on on Wednesday which probably helped a lot. Next week will be the true test. He's getting a 8.8 with 3.73's installed on Monday. That should help a whole lot. He's never got better than a 2.3 with the 2.73's and open rear. A 2.2 or even a 2.1 should be obtainable. I'm looking for 15.2's or 30's. I'll post the results when I have them. Hopefully, I 'll be running next week too. It's raining right now so I can't work on my car. :(

September 15 1999

Part of the page is back up...The page with my 98 hasn't been fixed yet but it will be soon. I'm thinking about selling my 98. We'll see what happens.

June 10 2000

Well, I finally sold my 98. I actually sold it to Mac. I know he wont take care of it quite as well as I did, but, atleast I'll get to see the car all the time:) Oh well, on to bigger and better things! 1
