While resting in my favorite chair January first, I reflected on what didn’t happen with the Y2K bug. I had called my sister in Anaheim at 1230 St. Louis time and chatted with her and her family until we celebrated New Year’s in Mountain time.
I had sent E-mail and checked on some Ebay auctions. The gas, electricity and water all worked. So did my crochet hook, spinning wheel and Alfa.
Of course all our recipes would work too! So I contacted Joyce Zerban and asked her to share her recipe for the delicious Broccoli and Cheddar dip she and Don brought to the Christmas party December 13th. Joyce graciously sent it to me.
Joyce said she found this recipe on the Lipton Vegetable Soup mix box and has been making it for about 5 years. She makes it for the family during the holidays. We’re glad she made it for us. Joyce is not only a wonderful cook, but along with Don is an accomplished sailor. They own a 26-ft sloop rigged sailboat, "Razzmatazz", and go sailing and racing on Lake Carlyle. Of course they also have 1986 Spider Quadrifoglio, a 1974 GTV and their newest a 1971 GTV.
