Man, it's been quite a while since my last update, but cleaning up at the end of the season is auite a chore. RFR made it's debut with a bang at Kalamazoo
Speedway for the Supershoe Nationals. This event is everything it's cracked up to be. We camped for 4 days, with only one day of rain, Saturday morning. The weather was perfect otherwise, with temperatures reaching the low 80's, amazing for Michigan in October. It's hard to describe the feeling of making a lap at this jewel of a racetrack. The speeds are awesome, and the racing is tight. It took no effort to run 3 wide, lap after lap. I was a little disappointed with my qualifying effort, but as the weekend went on, my lap times improved. By the time Sunday rolled around, I was ready to make a run for the feature. I had to start near the back of a 25 car field in a last chance race, where 2 transfer spots were up for grabs. What a wild race! It took several restarts to get everyone settled down, but when the racing started, it was fast and furious. I worked my way up to 6th, narrowly missing several accidents. My hats off to my crew. We made 2 pitstops without losing a lap. Pretty good for a team that has never had to make a pitstop before. Unfortunately, a blown right front tire took me out of the race with only 5 laps to go. There's always next year.
A
word of Thanks for the guys behind the scenes!

Without
all of them, we wouldn't be able to be so competitive. In fact, I doubt
we could race at all.
