Average IQ at Best!

It's not like you chose 24 or 36. But you could do a lot better.

Car 40 (Sterling Marlin): A nice guy, and you're close to being smart. You should subtract 37 from the car number you're pulling for.

Car 5 (Terry Labonte): Probably one of the nicest guys around, and a really good race car driver, but he should watch the company he keeps. Subtract 2 from the car number to increase your IQ.

Car 6 (Mark Martin): Mark's OK, and a good driver. A little too whiny sometimes. Improve your IQ by dividing the car number by 2.

Car 12 (Jeremy Mayfield): At the 1998 Daytona 500, he visited the Mobil 1 hospitality tent, along with his teammate Rusty, and frankly, I liked the guy. Seems like a really nice guy with a good sense of humor and a good personality. Then he made an impressive run to finish third in the 500. Lots of potential here. But still, for highest IQ rating, divide car number by 4.

Car 17 (Darrell Waltrip, AKA Elvis): Likeable guy (but hasn't always been so), and a good color commentator. Unfortunately, he's on a downhill slide. I'd like to see him win one more before he goes out. Subtract 14 from the car number, and you've got a good score.

Car 18 (Bobby Labonte): Bobby's OK, but not on the same level as his brother. But who couldn't like his car owner (Joe Gibbs). I could almost understand pulling for Joe even if you don't want to pull for Bobby. Divide the car number by 6 to get a higher IQ.

Car 88 (Dale Jarrett): Dale's another nice guy but you're a long way off from a high score. Subtract 85 from the car number.

Car 94 (Bill Elliott): Good old Bill. Can't catch a break. Hard not to like the guy. But there's a better choice. Drop the first digit, then subtract 1 from the car number (or just subtract 91).
