1.Classifications of Violations: Safety Violations

Unsportsman-like Conduct

Warning 20 MPG Deduction

1st Safety Violation 2nd Safety Violation

1st Unsportsman-like 2nd Unsportsman-Like

The Third Violation (of either) will result in a DQ of the school.

Examples of Safety Violations: Examples of Unsportsman-like

Not wearing safety glasses Using foul languauge

Passing on corners Shutting off the valve on the fuel

Exibition Driving bottle during the Trial Run.

*The 20MPG deduction will be taken from the results of your best Trial Run.

 

2.The following is a list of violations that result in an automatic loss of MPG at the end of the trial run.

a.Speeding: The max speed is 30MPH. The penalty is 1 MPH over = 10MPG.

b.Time Limit: The max time is 20 min to complete the Trial Run. Penalty: 1 sec. over = 1 MPG.

c.If a vehicle breaks down during the Trial Run, the driver must stay in the vehicle until an official arrives. Once the official is on the scene, the driver may exit the vehicle and make repairs. Failure to do so will result in a 20MPG deduction.

In the event of a questionable violation an Inner Circle of Judges will meet an discuss the infraction. The Inner Circle will consist of 3 people (1 UW-Stout Faculty member - and 2 R&R committee members. By having such a small committee, there will be uniformity in all decisions.
