My 1963 Chevy II Nova 3-Seat Station Wagon

I own this white 1963 Chevy II Nova station wagon that started life as a Chevy II 300 series wagon (a cheaper model) that
I picked up in 1989 for $300. Being a former California car driven east around
1980 or there abouts (but never registered in Massachusetts, or put back on the road until I got a hold of it), it is a very solid, rust-free car.
Through changing the colors, both interior and exterior it went from a tan/fawn car to a white/turquoise car with all of the options
and trim that came standard on Nova 400 station wagons. The car is equipped
with a 230 cubic inch inline six coupled to a Powerglide transmission.
The car also underwent a 5-lug conversion with standard 9 1/2 inch
brakes and a 3.08:1 rear differential (thanks to a junked 1965 Nova
4-door that gladly gave up its spindles and rear end for the changeover).
The engine is equipped with a High Energy electronic ignition (donated by a late 1970s
Chevy truck) and the cylinder head is a non-smog (but with hardened exhaust valves and seats), so
the motor has no problem running on today's unleaded fuel. The tailgate window
is electrically operated and a third folding rear seat is in the back.
I drive this car three seasons a year and I also take it to shows and cruise nights.
The car was voted Chapter Choice by Garden State Novas at the 1993
Nova Nationals in York, Pa., and also was voted Chapter Pick by the
1st Chapter of National Nostalgic Nova at the 1995 Nova Nationals in
Harrisburg, Pa. I always enter the car in street class because it
does get driven and used (except when there is salt on the roads).
