Monaco is the glamour race of the F1 calendar. It is the one race that all drivers would love to win besides their home GP. A lot of drivers live at Monaco as well.
The race is run around the streets of the famous Casino Town on a largley unchanged course. The first corner after the start is always a point where everyone holds his breath, 20+ cars trying to get through first. This is important because it's real hard to pass someone on this circuit.
Like all Grand Prix events the list of winners is distinguished, but Monaco perhaps more than any other race has a list of winners that encapsulates the very essence of Formula 1. Ayrton Senna won six times, Graham Hill managed five wins and Alain Prost won four times. The list of great drivers just goes on; Fangio, Moss, Villeneuve, Stewart, Lauda and Schumacher.
