Magny Cours was a second rate run down track. The intervention of the French government
saw substantial redevelopment of the track and re-emerging as the Circuit de Nevers it hosted it's first
GP in 1991. Magny Cours is not liked by the drivers, it has too many slow turns and hairpins. Many of the
parts of the circuit are named after other race tracks. The most exciting part of Magny Cours is the Adelaide hairpin.
Magny Cours suffers when compared to the excellent Circuit Paul Ricard, which is in the race to host the French Grand
Prix in the near future.
