This GTI is owned by Reuben Gata-Aura in the United Kingdom. It has been featured in a British publication called "The Golf Magazine". To assist in looks and handling the car has been lowered 80mm and sports 17" by 8" Fittipaldi Monte Carlo's. The car has been custom painted including the bumpers and has a upper grill spoiler to give it that integrated look. The front amber turn signals were done away with for cleaner looking clear units and the wiper was converted to a single unit for the touring look. The stock grill was replaced with a rallye grill for better illumination on those high speed night runs and to create a unique look. The interior has been treated to a full Corrado conversion for greater comfort and looks. At the time of this picture (May 1997) the car had a highly tuned 16 valve engine but as of now it has a VR6 including full running gear out of the donor car. The car has also been repainted and is currently a lighter shade of blue.
