Hi! my name is Dave Hascall and I am P/R director for Anderson Speedway, in Anderson, Indiana. The track is a quarter-mile, paved, high banked oval. Since the track has recently been sold, My 1997 duties have changed! I appear to be race-day Media coordinator and am involved with providing post race results. Check out my fledgling Anderson Speedway page . Look for them to have two nights of racing per week, later into the season!
The Indianapolis Speedrome was recently sold to Jake Cohen, of Washington Street Auto Parts fame. Jake has been involved in racing for 50+ years. The Stiles family will still lease the track on various dates for the Figure-8 Challenge and Legend Car competition.
Dirt track fan? You should check out Dirt Track Digest without a doubt, the best auto racing news source, regardless of type. Their E-Mail reports on the big and medium sized races can not compare. They also have a homepage, complete with .jpg photos!
Tired of missing racing shows on TV because your local rag doesn't list every channel or time slot? Try TVE Lite . Although Bill says that it's impossible to list every televised motor sport, He comers close, in my book! He may not list every repeat, but his listing is a godsend. The report appears on the web (and in usenet newsgroups) every Friday night, and cover one full week. Speedvision is covered extremely well, and I like that because it is not listed in my local daily(Indianapolis Star).
